"What was the meaning of that?" Nicole shouted as soon as the doors to the car were shut. "Your voice Nicole, I'm right here." I shushed her. "What was the meaning of what exactly?" I asked in pretense. Nicole rolled her eyes. "Oh, please, don't play smart with me. You know what I'm talking about."
"Yes I do Nicole. I swear I really don't know where that came from." I said.
"Well you had better start explaining everything if you really need help." She stated, "and I mean from the very beginning." She added after a while.
I had no choice, I had to tell her everything that was going on and maybe she could assist me too. I told her about Denise and how we were getting along now and that Denise was the girl I was talking about in the morning. "So why did you ask Vanessa out?" She asked sharply. "I don't know Nic-" "the hell do you mean you don't know?" She cut in angrily. Then calmly she said." So you're double dating now? Congratulations Eva, you've achieved a big feat in South High. Do you know what you've just done? How am I supposed to help you in this one?" I didn't know what to say, all the while my car still sat at the school park as we discussed. "Can we go somewhere and chill? My head is hot and I need to cool it down." I asked after a three minutes silence, Nicole only nodded and I set the car into motion.
We got to a small diner just outside town and ordered drinks before going to a vacant table. I could sense tension as we sat, the questions were lingering on Nicole's face as we sat but I was sure I didn't have answers to them, maybe I did but not the right answer a she needed.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Nicole broke my thoughts. I did not realize I was staring. "S- sorry." I mumbled.
"Eva," I looked up. "We'll find a way out of this mess okay?" I nodded. "In the mean time, just have fun and play your cards well. I believe you're smart, so act to it, satisfy their hunger and yours too." I gazed at Nicole who was smirking after her supposed 'advice'. She was a nutcase and I didn't have the means of dealing with her right now. After taking our drinks, we relaxed a little talking about other things that were random then I decided to ask. "Nicole?"
"Hmm."
"Have you ever done it with Louisa?" I emphasized on the it to drive home my point. She got the meaning though and laughed instead of saying something. "Why are you laughing?" I asked confused, she slowed down and finally stopped. "You should have seen the look on your face when you asked that question." She giggled again. "Anyway, yes, we have. Several times. One of which was in the girls toilet at school and we were-"
"Enough Nicole!" I stopped her. I knew the kind of things she could utter in a minute. "But I thought you wanted to know?" She asked, the smirk returning on her face.
"The yes is enough for me." I stated firmly.
"Let's go home, I'm tired." Nicole said, I had to agree with her. I was tired too and I needed time to think. Maybe I'll take the day off from school tomorrow.
