It had been a long four months for Alan and the Crimson Legion. The battles with Kaine's Super Mutant army have reached a stalemate. Neither side was going to back down, especially not Alan's 15th Armored Infantry Core. Alan had a special bone to pick with Kaine and he won't stop until Kaine lies dead at his feet. No one defeats Alan Smith and gets to live to tell the tale.
Many things have changed in the four months that have past. Two new Infantry Cores have been formed and stationed in Tennessee and Kentucky. The 21st Infantry Core was stationed in Kentucky while the 22nd Infantry Core was in Tennessee. Some of the trainees were trained to operate the Superbird or otherwise known as Valkyrie. It was still a long way away from being in full operation condition, but it was a start.
Alan didn't sit idle during the four months. He had secretly upgraded his armor by switching the joint servomotors for prototype servomotors. The prototype servomotors were design to give an even greater boost to the wearer's speed and agility. Alan had also trained not only his troops, but also himself into the ground. He noticed that, even without the new servomotors, he has gotten much faster and could hit harder.
Alan now stood on the roof of the new outpost they had set up on the Tennessee/Alabama border. He stared across the border and wondered what they'll face tomorrow when they invade Alabama. He didn't have any more time to wonder on the subject as he heard footsteps coming up behind him. He looked over his shoulder and saw Rin walking to him. He looked forward again as she made it by his side. Rin looked up at the night sky and said, "It sure is beautiful a night even though we live in this wasteland." Alan smiled and replied, "It is, especially on the nights when the moon is full." Rin just nodded and a comfortable silence fall between them. They stayed like that until they both left to rest for the upcoming invasion.
Alan was up earlier than the others and began his work out. That was the set that Rin came upon and immediately stopped at the sight of Alan during one handed push ups with no shirt on. She watched as sweat ran down his back and over some of the scars of a decent past. She saw it all in what felt like slow motion before a cough broke her out of her trance. She blinked and blushed as she saw Alan standing before her completely dressed. She looked away and said, "S-s-sorry. I d-d-didn't mean t-t-to stare." Alan watched amused before saying, "Your drooling says otherwise." Rin blushed harder and quickly wiped the drool that was in deed there. She quickly made a retreat, leaving behind an amused Alan.
After a quick shower, Alan was fully suited up in his T-71b Power Armor and sitting in the lead APC. He was staring at Rin, who was avoiding his gaze and ignoring the confused looks from Chris, Justin, Emily, and Sora. His amusement soon ended as they crossed the border into Alabama. Everyone was tense and ready for any sort of ambush. After a hour, they started hearing distant gun fire and went towards it. The battle they came to couldn't be called that. It was a completely one sided battle between some Raiders and a group in Power Armor. Alan quickly ordered the gunner to mow down the Raiders that were entrenched and hopped out of the APC. He calmly walked towards the Raiders while pulling out Damnation and made it to a wounded Raider that didn't want to surrender. Alan leveled Damnation with the Raider's forehead and pulled the trigger. The Raider's head exploded and sent gore everywhere, yet not a single drop of blood hit Alan's armor.
Alan calmly turned and headed to the group in Power Armor. They lowered their weapons after seeing the APC's turret point towards them, knowing they didn't stand a chance if it opened fire on them. Alan stopped a few yards away and said, "I am Alan Smith, four star general of the Crimson Legion. Who may you be?" One of the soldiers stepped forward and said, "I am Kurt, Knight Captain of the Brotherhood of Steel." Alan nodded and asked, "Is most of Alabama under Brotherhood control?" Kurt shook his head and replied, "No, half of the region is under Raider control." Alan nodded and said, "Take me to your leader, I wish to talk with him about a possible alliance." Kurt nodded, knowing that the Brotherhood of Steel would have to be retarded to pass up the chance to have such a powerful ally on their side.
Alan turned to the APC driver and said, "Report in to the other companies and tell them to head into the Raider controlled region. I want those scum dead by night fall." The driver nodded and Alan turned back to Kurt while his team filed in behind him. Kurt nodded and lead to the way to the Brotherhood Command Base. Once there, they were lead under heavy guard to the High Elder. After hours of decision, they finally managed to strike an agreement. The Brotherhood would assist, when asked, to help the Crimson Legion in a military campaign and the Crimson Legion would give advanced servomotors to the Brotherhood.
As the meeting finally ended, Alan's radio came to life. "All Raider bases have been destroyed and we suffered no loses." Alan nodded and replied, "Good work soldier. Start getting yourselves entrenched along the borders." Alan turned to the BoS members and said, "I'd love to stay and chat, but I need to get my troops into cover. Kaine's Super Mutant army may strike us here at any time." Alan turned and left with his team, ignoring the gasps of the BoS members. All he wanted to do now was find the nearest command outpost and sleep. Damn politics were tiring.
