It has been several months since Alan had killed Kaine and took Georgia. In those months they have found several spies. There were seven in all with five being from Caesar's Legion, two from the NCR, and one from some group of Slavers to the east. Alan had personally performed public execution of the slaver and two from Caesar's Legion. It is unknown as to what happened to the last three, but most could guess the horrible death they got. The two from the NCR were sent back west, only without a hand.
Also in those months, Alan and the other commanders have intercepted several messages being sent to the Enclave. It is still unclear as to who is sending the messages and how many of them are within the Crimson Legion. All vehicles were on lock down at night and every one was looking for any suspicious behavior among the troops. So far none of the troops have shown any signs of being traitors, but that didn't mean they'd stop watching.
At the present moment, Alan was busy preparing his company for the invasion of Florida. The Raiders have been massing their forces in bulk for the incoming invasion. The new companies will be holding Georgia while Alan's 15th AIC (Armored Infantry Core), 21st and 22nd Infantry Cores lead the land assault. They did have the 5th, 6th, and 7th Armored Core along with the Air Force as support. The enemy had dug in pretty deep and had homemade tanks and mortars. The thing that would cost the Raiders is that they had no air defense.
Alan looked across the border towards their main objective. One of the Raider's commanders, by far the most dangerous man the enemy had, was holed up in an old apartment complex. The man, who only replies to the name Ghost, was the best at CQC (close quarter combat) and pretty damn good with his .45 pistol. Ghost use to be apart of the Talon Company mercs before he left and took over a group of Raiders. Intel says his preferred melee weapon was two curved short swords.
Alan looked upwards at the predawn sky just as green flares were dropped after the bombers were returning home after finishing their bombing run. He gave the command to charge and ran forward along with his troops. They made it to the abandoned defenses and pushed to the second set. Alan noticed a Raider slowly crawled out of a foxhole before charging while screaming YOLO. Alan took off faster than the Raider could react to and kneed the Raider in the gut. Alan grabbed the Raider by the head and said, "You're right, you only live once." He than twisted the Raider's head around, breaking his neck and killing him instantly.
Alan dropped the dead Raider and continued onwards. He took out Salvation and killed any Raiders dumb enough to yell out any sort of command. The remaining Raiders, whose morals were non-existent, gave up. Alan quickly rounded them up and sent them into Georgia with an armed detail to make sure none ran. With that sorted, Alan and his troops continued towards the apartment complex. They made it there within minutes and with the help of a Humvee, they made it inside with little resistance. Alan's three hundred quickly scattered into the apartment buildings, clearing each apartment of Raiders while Alan and his team went for the big cheese in this place.
Alan and his team made it to the center of the playground in front of the apartment that Ghost was in, before coming under fire. They quickly took cover behind some playground equipment or in a bomb crater. Alan looked around him for just a moment to see where each member was before returning fire. Emily had crawled up a slide and sniping any Raider that popped their head out. Chris was behind a toy rocket and Justin along with Sora were in a bomb crater just next to Chris. Sarah, by accident or on purpose, was sharing the same bomb crater as him. Just as quickly as they were pinned down, the Raiders became pinned down as they started taking fire from the apartments behind Alan's team.
Just as Alan got up and out of the bomb crater, he saw Ghost calmly walking out the front door. Ghost lifted his .45 pistol only for it to be shot out of his hands. He growled in anger and quickly took out both of his swords before charging at Alan. Alan pulled out two combat knives and met Ghost half way. After ten minutes of intense swordplay, they both enter a weapon locked. Ghost looked Alan up and down before saying, "That's some nice armor, I'll be sure to strip it off your dead body." Alan smirked and replied, "I'll be sure to take those swords from your cold, dead hands." Ghost just laughed and broke the weapon lock by jumping back. That was his down fall. Before Ghost could react, Alan shot forward like a rocket and stabbed Ghost in the stomach before ducking under his swing. Alan went into a leg sweep and as Ghost fell, Alan came up and with one over head strike to the chest, sent Ghost to the ground.
Alan slowly picked up both swords as Ghost slowly got up to his knees. Alan crossed both swords in a X shape at Ghost's throat before saying, "I guess all the boasting I hear about the Talon Company's skill is overrated." With that said, Alan quickly beheaded Ghost and took the sheaths off his back. He sheathed the blades and attached them to his lower back with the hilts near his hips. He walked over to his team just as a soldier came up. Alan nodded to him and said, "Report soldier." The soldier saluted and said, "All remaining Raiders have retreated south, sir. We've got them on the run!" Alan smiled and said, "What do you expect? No scum, no matter how many of them there is, can stand to the might of the Crimson Legion."
