Monday morning and Emily was again too lazy to go out of the bed. Not because she slept late or what but because she just simply wanted to sleep some more. She made a grumpy sound hugging the pillow beside her when she felt a hand on her back. She didn't need to turn to find out who was it because there's only one person who knew that gesture as a way of waking her up.
"Five more minutes, please.." She mumbled her eyes still closed.
"Mahal, you already told me that earlier. Come on. Get up na. We have an early meeting with the board, right?" Marco explained while rubbing her back. Emily took a loud sigh as Marco helped her to sit. She rubbed her eyes and yawned almost looking like a kid for Marco.
"Kulang ka ba sa tulog? Eh diba nga nauna ka namang natulog sakin kagabi?" Marco asked after planting a soft kiss on her lips.
Emily yawned again. "Oo. Ewan ko ba. Inaantok talaga ako." She looked at Marco and pouted her lip. "Habol na lang ako sa meeting. Mauna ka na, iidlip lang ako ulit, please..."
Marco chuckled clicking his tongue. "Hindi pwede. Kailangan ka doon para sa Guidotti Imports. Patutulogin kita after the meeting."
Emily wrinkled her nose making him laughed.
"Sige. Kung ayaw mo talagang pumasok, dito na lang tayo. Let's do the thing we should've done last night." Marco mumbled and begun to unbutton his polo shirt.
Emily closed her eyes for a second as for her husband got her so bad. She stood up and headed to the bathroom. Before stepping inside she turned to him and muttered, 'I hate you' almost slamming the door.
Marco just laughed at his wife. Emily's mood swings are kinda weird for him especially the past few days. There are times that she's so sweet or irritated to him even though he did nothing. "Women's things" Marco would always remind himself.
While Emily's still inside the bathroom, Marco took the time to check his mails that he forgot last night because he got so engrossed talking with their son, Daniel about their business. After checking almost three-fourths of his mails, still clad with a robe, Emily got out from the bathroom. She passed through him and walked to their walk in closet. After a moment, she got out wearing a black jumpsuit with a gold belt that hugged her waist which he bought for her a week ago. He just watched her sat on her vanity table, applied her own make-up—as she always prefer, only light which he likes about her and sprayed her rose-cherry like perfume that he loves to smell. After doing her usual morning routine, Emily grabbed her bag and made her way out of the room without even glancing at him. Marco shook his head with a smile plastered on his face before following his stubborn wife to the dining.
"Good morning, anak." Margarette greeted Emily who gave her a quick hug and a bust on the cheek without a word.
His mom gave him a questioning look as for it's so new for them to see Emily that silent. He only smiled at her mom before giving his wife a seat.
"Anong gusto mo?" Marco asked Emily while putting some bacon and toasted bread on his plate.
Emily looked at the food on the table and thought for a while. "Wala akong gana." She said with a heavy sigh.
"Mahal, hindi pwedeng hindi ka kumain." Marco reached for the fried rice and put some on his wife's plate.
"Marco, ayoko nga." Emily whined when he scoop a spoonful of fried rice.
"Hindi nga pwedeng hindi ka kumain." Marco countered.
The others on the table were just silently listening to them.
