Marco immediately noticed the disappointment on Daniel's face when he came back to their table.
"No luck?" He asked after he gave Daniel a glass of wine which his son took in one gulp.
Daniel shook his head when he finished his drink. "Wala papa, eh. Ayaw talaga ni Mr. Pangilinan. Sayang lang kasi isa ang kumpanya nila sa malalakas at malaki ang kinukuhang mga alak."
Mr. Arlando Pangilinan, owner of the Vintage Wine Hub. It is one of the famous restobar in the philippines. It's customers are not just business tycoons and wealthy individuals but even celebreties are often spotted in the said area.
"I already talked to him noong isang buwan lang." Marco admitted. "He said he didn't want to have business with us."
"Sino?"
Both of them stopped when they heard someone from their behind.
"Sinong ayaw makipag business satin?" Emily asked again after taking her seat beside Marco. Johanna who was also with her asked the same.
"Saan kayo galing?" Marco asked to disregard their question. Emily told him they went around the place to have a little chat with their business friends and also to find prospect clients but then again just repeated her question.
"Yong nakuwento ko sayo nong nakaraan." Marco put an arm around Emily.
Emily oh'ed and looked over her shoulder where she saw a man, a few tables away from them, in his early fifties talking to Mr. Vasquez, one of Guidotti's client for a very long time already.
"Is that him?" She pointed using her lips.
Marco followed her eyes and nodded when he saw Mr. Pangilinan.
"Yeah."
Emily looked at him. She cupped his cheeks and squeezed it with a bit gigil making Johanna and Daniel laugh.
"Mahal naman." He said after Emily let go of his face. Emily just giggled, kissing his cheek by the way before turning to Johanna who was trying to stop herself from laughing again.
"Anak, let's go."
"Saan kayo pupunta?" Marco wrinkled his forehead and Daniel has to stop from what he was doing when Emily stood up. She gestured Johanna to do the same and Marco and Daniel can do nothing but to watch them walked to where Mr. Pangilinan was seated.
"Tip number one, Johanna. Make them interested with you." Emily whispered to Johanna.
"Mr. Vasquez!" The two man turned their head to their direction when Emily called out Mr. Vasquez's name.
"Emilia.." Mr. Vasquez smiled and walked towards them. "Andito ka pala. I thought you wouldn't come tonight." The old businessman asked after they shook hands.
"I changed my mind. Alam mo na.. saka pupunta ka, bakit naman hindi ako pupunta diba?" Emily saw Mr. Pangilinan's curious eyes shooting towards them but she didn't acknowledged it. "How's Griselda by the way? Ang huling balita ko eh nasa Amerika daw kasama si Julio. Is that true?"
Mr. Vasquez laughed at her query. There are rumors going on around that his wife left him for not just another man but to Julio Sanchez, his business partner for a long time.
"Kalat na kalat na talaga ang balitang 'yan ano?"
Emily just smiled so sweetly.
"Oo nga pala. I'd like you to meet someone."
"That's tip number two, Johanna." Emily whispered as they watched Mr. Vasquez pulled Mr. Pangilinan.
"Emilia...this is my good friend Arlando Pangilinan." Emily unleashed her signature smile especially when the man in front of them extended his hand over her for which she took immediately.
