CHAPTER NINE: Louis doesn't know..
Brooke is sitting in the waiting room, with an ice pack she's holding on her head from where she hit the ground in her fall with Harry.
She's got puffy red eyes that must hurt, and she's surrounded by four others.
Can you guess who they are??
Well, it's Louis, Niall, Zayn, and Liam- also in waiting rooms looking miserable.
"How did he overdose!? He's not stupid!!" Louis exclaims.
"Some kind of pills. He would've been able to handle it except he hadn't eaten anything." She lies without a seconds hesitation, trying to calm him down.
She frowns at Liam, and She knows he instantly understands her.
A man in all white, with the doctors green colored work pants, and gloves, approaches them.
"Are you all here for Harry?" He asks.
"You should see the people being held back" Zayn says, pointing outside.
There's fans as far as you can see, and at least thirty security men working to keep them back.
"Okay, is, 'Brooke' here?" The man asks.
Brooke stands up, shakes his hand and looks at him worriedly.
"He well, should be fine. But his throat would've closed any second if you hadn't gotten here sooner. We might have to revisit his ways of curing- "
"Illness." She interrupts.
"Yes well um, I'd advise you to not let him get near any more pills, unless we hand them to you in person. Not for a while anyway. And well, he's been asking for you.. He's fully conscience now, it's just he is in a lot of pain right now, he was delirious for a little bit there. If you will please follow me I can take you to him".
She nods, and hurries after the doctor.
She's been here hours, the boys have been her for about an hour. And she felt guilty and miserable and sad and angry with herself and the world this whole time.
She just ached to seem him happy and healthy again.
Once she entered the room though, everything else left her mind. Only he was left.
!!!---Brooke's pov---!!!
Harry was shirtless, and had a white "blanket"(sheet) up just past his waist. His left leg was sticking out of the white sheet, and he still had his sweatpants on.
When we walked in, he was looking the other way, and I saw all the tubes and patches connected to his arms. The heart monitor scared me...I wasn't specifically sure why.
"Harry," the doctor announced, startling Harry and making him jump and turn his head towards us.
"Someone's here to see you"
"Hi hazza" when I spoke, my voice sounded rough, like I'd been crying for hours. Which, surprise surprise, I had.
"Brooke?" He croaked.
I looked at the doctor, he nodded and I went to sit down in the chair by Harry's bed.
"How are you feeling?" I asked sweetly, still sounding like I'd begun to lose my voice.
He shrugs and the corner of his mouth perks up in a smile.
"Oh I was so worried" I say, leaning in to hug him.
I hear the door shut, meaning the doctor left, and Harry wraps his arms around me. I stand up, and still hug him tightly.
After a few seconds of rocking each other, I hear a few quiet sobs.
