*Maddie's POV*
I exit from the crowd as quickly as I can once the concert ends, the fans were going crazy trying to find the band and Ansel.
I doubt that Ansel would actually come see me again after the concert, so I made my way back to my dressing room to get my bag so I could go home.
I decided to text my aunt on the walk to the dressing room, to tell her she could come get me now. The text read:
"Hey Aunt Amy, concert just ended. Can you come pick me up now? -Mads xx."
Just after pressing send, I look up as I begin to near my dressing room and was surprised to find Ansel standing outside of the door.
A smile curves at my lips when my eyes meet his, and I was surprised that he had actually showed up. Maybe I had thought wrong about him, maybe he isn't like all of the other stuck up celebrities.
"Enjoy the concert, beautiful?" He asks, his eyes following my every move as I open the door to my dressing room.
"It was really good, I like your music" I say quietly, and I felt butterflies in my stomach from when he called me beautiful.
I expected him to follow me into the dressing room, but he stopped at the door, his fingers tracing the letters that read "Ellie and Maddie Lawrence."
"You used to dance here a lot, didn't you?" He questions, his eyes leaving the door to look at me.
I sling my bag around my shoulder and turn to look at him, nodding slightly.
"Before she died, my mother, we both used to dance here all the time, at least twice a month." I start, staring at the black letters on the door, "The place would be packed, she was amazing."
"So are you, I guess it's where you get it from" He states, his long fingers still lingering on the door as he stares at me.
"Yeah, everyone said I was nearly as good as her when I stopped" I say, a sad smile on my face as I glance over at him.
His eyes were full concern, and I could tell he was curious about my mother.
"Why did you? You know, stop" The words escape from his mouth, and when he sees tears beginning to form in my eyes he quickly walks over to me, resting his hands on my shoulders in a comforting manner.
"I'm sorry, you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to" He says, his head tilted down so he could gaze at me.
"No it's okay, sometimes it's nice to talk about her" I start, turning to look up at him, "I stopped dancing because it constantly reminded me she was gone, never coming back. Although we danced separately, we always performed the same night. She taught me everything that I know."
He nods, listening to each and every word I was saying.
"You should try to start dancing again, I think she would want you to. Carry on the tradition" He says softly, and it looked as if he was about to wrap his arms around me, but he stopped himself.
"Yeah, I've been thinking about it. That's why I came to dance today" I whisper, and he rubs my shoulders a bit before speaking.
"Hey, why don't we go see a movie or something?"
I look up at him like he's crazy, a laugh escaping my lips.
"I barely know you, Ansel! All I know is you're a famous actor and musician, which isn't much"
"Exactly, we can get to know each other better" He says with that stunning smile.
"How about this, I'll give you my number and you text me whenever your free, I know your probably very busy with The Fault In Our Stars coming out and everything" I say, shrugging my shoulders slightly.
This whole thing was great, and I was very attracted to him, but I didn't want to get my hopes up just to get broken.
"There's always time for a beautiful girl like you" He says flirtatiously, and takes my phone when I hand it to him, typing in his number.
Once he hands it back, I see a text from my aunt, telling me that she's waiting outside.
"I've gotta go, my aunts outside" I say, slipping past him and walking towards the door.
Before I get too far, I feel his large, gentle hands at my waist, pulling me back towards him.
A quiet gasp escapes my lips, this is the first time I had ever been touched by a boy like this. I turn to look up at him as he speaks, surprise still clear in my eyes as he drops his hands from my body.
"Well let me be a gentleman and walk you out, Madeline" He says like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
I roll my eyes when he uses my full name, but nod and move to his side. Even though we had only known each other for a few hours, I already felt like we were friends.
We begin walking towards the exit, and Mark raises his eyebrows at me when we pass him, he had never seen me with anyone other than my parents or aunt, let alone a boy.
I smile at him and walk out after Ansel opens the door for me.
My aunts car was parked right in front of the doors, reading. She nearly dropped her book when she saw me walk out with Ansel, shock was clear on her face.
I stop when we exit the doors and turn to look at Ansel.
"Be prepared to get a text message asking to get together very soon" He says with a smile, leaning back against the wall outside of the theatre.
I laugh and shake my head, turning my back and walking away from him while I speak.
"Goodbye Ansel"
I open the car door and sit in the passengers seat, glancing over at him just as he says something.
"Goodbye, Maddie"
