I sighed as I closed my suitcase, feeling a bit of tears in my eyes as well. It wasn't easy to leave Los Angeles, the city I'd studied, worked, got married and divorced in. Kelsey was standing next to me with her baggage, gently hugging me over the shoulder.

"Now it's not the time to cry, blondie," She smiled and took a look through the window. "I'm going down to catch a cab and you take your time here," I nodded and so I was left alone in the room that never really belonged to me. It would be harder for me to say good bye to the flat I shared with Zach or the one me and my mum lived in before my marriage.

"I guess it's my turn to go," I said to myself and closed the door behind me. Walking down the stairs I ran my hand through my blonde hair that Kelsey styled even though I told her it was pointless to do so for a 5 hour flight.

Locking the door behind me I threw the keys in our post box. One last glance at the house I was living in and I made my way to the cab, hearing Kelsey's excited babbling.

"Good morning," I greeted when I entered the car, immediately fastening my seatbelt.

"It's you!" The driver exclaimed and turned around. The face I saw made my heart drop into my pants and I bit on my lip. It was the driver I had met on the evening of my and Zach's biggest fight. The night that had started a divorce.

"It's you..." I murmured, tensing up and taking my defence position.

"You never called again, guess you fixed your marriage?" He gave me a huge smile before starting the car. I felt Kelsey looking at me as I grabbed my jacket to avoid crying.

"I did-didn't," I quietly said, hoping no more questions would follow.

"Look bastard, leave her alone. She has divorced recently and is not looking for a man," My ex coworker snapped and grabbed my hand. I squeezed it gratefully, feeling more than glad to have Kelsey next to me. But as my eyes met the driver's in the mirror I felt a bit bad for him as well.

"I'm sorry," He said after a few minutes of silence. "And now you're leaving L. A.?"

"Something like that," I answered, giving him a small smile. He had eyes, similar shade to Zach's but way warmer than his.

"Where are you going to start a new life? I assume that is your plan," He had the whitest big teeth ever. Then I realised he had a lip piercing in very plump lips and spotted that he wasn't that bad looking after all.

"She's not in the mood for ta-," Kelsey started but I immediately slapped her thigh.

"It's okay, Kelsey," I was trying to remember his name that was written on the card he gave to me but all I remembered was Zach's shakey hand and memories washed over me again. "I'm moving to Florida," My voice shaked a bit while we were passing signs for the airport.

"Florida, huh? Quite far away," He commented and frowned a bit. "Good luck anyway, seems like you haven't had much of it lately?" He left the words lingering on, obviously expecting my name.

"I'm Kiara. And this is my best friend Kelsey," I introduced my friend too and let her hand go.

"Luke," He simply said, meeting my eyes once again. I smiled gently and then looked at Kelsey. She was showing me thumbs up with a stupid expression on her face that made my eyes roll. "Anyway ladies, two minutes and we will arrive to our destination," He resembled a navigation, even his voice was similar to it. All 3 of us were laughing when we arrived to the airport.

"Thanks for the ride, here is your tip," I smiled and squeezed him 50 dollars even though the ride only cost 32. "Hope to see you around upon my arrival," He was now standing next to me, pulling our suitcases out of the trunk.
