Sky full of stars

I was standing on the balcony, having some wind blowing through my hair. After two hours of hanging out with Luke we decided to call it a night and slowly go to bed. He was enough of a gentleman to let me take a shower first that I gladly accepted and now it was his turn to have one.

I was wearing my PJ that consisted of light grey shorts and a short grey t-shirt. It showed a tiny bit of my pregnancy belly and that was why I truly liked it. I wrapped a blanket around my shoulders but left my feet bare, weather in Los Angeles was already warm enough for that. My hair was falling down my back in huge curls, slightly tickling my bare skin wherever they touched.

Enjoying lights of L. A. in front of me was something I always loved doing. Zach sometimes joined me but this didn't happen for the past three years so I had to do it alone. I usually left my phone inside the house and it was the same this time. Only me and night streets of the city that never really turned out to be quiet.

My thoughts got interrupted by a quiet knock and I turned around to see Luke's head peaking inside my room. I smiled and gestured him to come out on the balcony while securing the blanket around my body.

"I saw the lights in your room, didn't you say you were going to sleep?" He asked after he stepped out. I shook my head no, noticing his hair was damp.

"I decided to observe the city a bit. It usually calms me down," I admitted and Luke leant on wall, running his fingers through his hair.

"Do as you please," He simply answered and looked up in the sky. The bad thing about Los Angeles was that usually we couldn't see the stars well so I never really paid attention to them. Luke, on the other hand, seemed to be searching for something specifically and I didn't want to bother him asking. "See that big star over there?" His finger reached up, showing me a star.

I looked up that way and saw many of them. The sky was really full of stars tonight and to be completely honest, I had no idea which one Luke was pointing to.

"Luke, I'm sorr-," He just smiled with his white big teeth and stepped right behind me so his torso was touching my back. He then bent down so his chin was nearly touching my shoulder and his cheek nearly touching mine.

My stomach shrunk a little when his fingers gently grabbed my hand, rising it up in the sky to show me that exact star. Soon enough he pointed at the star with my finger, me immediately spotting a star that was slightly bigger than the others.

"Oh," I whispered, feeling stupid for not noticing it earlier. I heard Luke's quiet giggle on my ear what sent shivers down my spine.

He then moved my finger star by star but I couldn't really focus on them. All my thoughts were about his smell that was filling my nose, this wonderful mint smell that was now not mixed with cigarettes.

"This was ursa minor," His voice was low and quiet, way different from Zach's. At this thought I mentally slapped myself for even comparing Luke to him. If I ever wanted to move on I would have to be prohibited from even thinking about my ex husband. And this is exactly what I desired for right now. "Do you want to see ursa maior as well?"

"I'd love to," I slightly turned my head towards him, catching him staring at me.

"You can't look at me while searching for the stars, Kiara," He said wittily, making me blush. I quickly turned my head back to the stars, feeling even less focused now.

"Sorry," I said my apology before Luke started moving my hand as well, giving it support with his muscular arm.

"So slightly more to the right, see, that's its tail," He said excitedly before letting my hand go. I now fully turned around to see he was no longer bending down.

"A tiny astrology lesson I've never had," My green eyes met his blue ones that were full of sparks. I was so caught into his face, I didn't feel my blanket was falling off my shoulders before Luke's huge hand pulled it back up.

"I don't want you two to get cold," His voice was calm when he stroked my shoulder, touching my bare skin lightly. His skin was warm and gentle, making my body ache for more touches.

"Thanks," I whispered and bit my lip. Seeing Luke's eyes falling down to my lips made my stomach scream in excitement and I had to bite my bottom lip even harder so I wouldn't scream.

"Well... Sleep well," Luke wished and bent down to press a quick kiss on my forehead.

His lips on my skin, the cold metal of piercing especially, made me accept my decision quickly. As he was moving away I gently grabbed his face with both my hands and pressed my lips to his. From the beginning, he seemed to be taken aback and wanted to move away but then his arms found their way to my hair, digging inside them.

The kiss was slow and gentle, fitting the previous atmosphere perfectly. Luke wasn't rushing anywhere with it and I didn't even notice the blanket fell off my body. Heat was now radiating from Luke's torso but my body quickly felt hot when his tongue found its way inside my mouth. My right hand tugged on his hair gently, making him smile in the kiss.

After another minute of out lips battling, Luke's head moved away, ending the kiss. Our eyes met when he pressed his forehead on mine, my hands still clenched on the back of his neck.

"That was..." I tried to say something but failed miserably.

"A 5 star kiss?" Luke helped me out and we both giggled in unision.

"Agreed," I then confirmed before feeling how cold it actually got outside. Goose bumps were appearing on my shoulders, my bare feet on the marble ground didn't help to that.

"Now it's really time to sleep, Kiara," Luke said sternly but still a lot of softness was present in his voice. "Some of us have to work in the morning," He then added and picked up the blanket.

Both of us stepped inside and Luke closed the door behind us. Soft bed was already waiting for me to climb in what I very gladly did. As my hand grabbed for the blanket, I realised Luke was already holding it, ready to cover me.

"Now let me wrap you the burrito way," We both laughed as he did so, pressing a light kiss on my forehead again. "Sleep well, my lovely ursa," He whispered and didn't even wait for my reply before getting out of the room.

"You too!" I screamed after him, biting my lips afterwards, still tasting mint on them.
