Niall's POV:
At 8pm I was standing in Hannah's room dressed in my new clothes. I liked it, to be honest. She was in the bathroom, doing her make-up or something. We had had a great day together. She was so easy to talk to and she really seemed to like me.
"You look good" she suddenly said behind me. She put her arms around my waist and looked in the mirror as well.
"We look so cute together, don't you think?" she asked.
"You're cute" I said and she giggled. Then she grabbed her phone from the desk and took a picture of us in the mirror.
"What are you doing?" I laughed.
"I need to Instagram this"
"Of course you do" I chuckled. She rolled her eyes at me and brushed my cheek with her fingertips. Then she sat down on her bed with her phone. I sat down next to her and looked over her shoulder. Ready for party with my boy the caption said. I laughed again.
"Let's go. The party's already stared" she said and grabbed my hand. We walked through her enormous house and outside to her car.
"You look amazing. Did I tell you that?" I said before she started the car.
"I know" she said.
"But thank you" she giggled and kissed my cheek. She rested her hand on my thigh all the way and she kept smiling at me. I don't think I've ever met someone smiling as much as her. Not that it bothered me - Her smile was beautiful.
"How many are we gonna be tonight?" I asked.
"About 20 I think. And don't worry, it's not like one of those stupid, crazy parties in movies. My friends are a bit more classy than that. They're gonna love you" she said and squeezed my thigh.
"Look! Here it is!" she said and stopped the car. I looked at the house outside. It was even bigger than Hannah's and looked much more expensive. I wondered what those people did for a living.
"C'mon" she said and got out of the car. When we were outside she grabbed my hand again and I followed her to the front door. She knocked three times and the door swung open.
"Hannah! Finally! I've missed you so much!" a brown haired girl screamed as soon as she saw Hannah. They hugged each other and I was left standing next to them. Awkward.
"And who's this pretty face?" the girl asked and looked at me.
"Nadia, this is Niall. Niall, Nadia" Hannah said. We shook hands and we followed her inside.
"Travis is here! You remember him right? He was the one who cut his hair off in 6th grade! Well he looks a lot better now, and he even found a girlfriend!" Nadia told Hannah.
"Oh my god! Travis found a girlfriend? I'm so happy for him! I never thought that would happen. Is she here?"
"Yes she's the one sitting next to Laura" Nadia said and pointed to two girls sitting in the big couch. I looked around. These people looked boring as hell. I kinda regretted going here. If everyone knew each other and was here to catch up on old days, what was I gonna do? Just sit behind them and nod like I totally got the jokes. I noticed there was a bar though, so there was still hope for me. I walked up to the bartender and ordered a beer.
"Beer? Really Niall? No you're having a Martini" Hannah suddenly laughed next to me and ordered two Martinis instead. I looked at the red drink in my hand and took a sip of it. It tasted okay I guess. I looked at my phone just to see the time. 9.20. This was gonna be a long night.
"Do you want me to hold it? I mean this is such a big house, and it could easily get lost, so maybe it's safer to keep it in my purse?" Hannah offered. I nodded and gave her my phone. That couldn't harm anyone.
Alex' POV:
"I can't believe he's at a party with her right now!" I yelled and clenched my fists.
"Calm down. It's probably just as friends" Debby said from her bed. I had been at her place all night just to have someone to talk to.
"How can you say that?! You saw them kissing! He's probably fucking her right now!"
"Of course he's not fucking her. He's smarter than that"
"How do you know? He almost fucked you while he was drunk" I said. Debby blushed and looked down.
"But he didn't actually do it" she mumbled.
"Because I stopped you. I can't stop him every time... Ugh why am I so damn stupid?! I shouldn't have rejected him" I sighed. I looked at the clock. 11. He was probably drunk somewhere right now, making out with that bitch. Hannah. Who he had known for 2 days! I could probably kick her ass anytime.
"Should I call him?" I asked.
"No" Debby sighed and rolled her eyes. She was probably right. Stupid idea.
"Alex what are you doing?" she asked when I grabbed my phone anyway.
"Not calling him. I'm calling Liam" I said. I don't even remember how I got his number. But right now I was thankful for having him in my contacts. I needed to ask him a favor.
"Hello?" a voice suddenly said.
"Hey. Liam, it's Alex... From school" I said.
"Uhm, hey. Why are you calling me?"
"I need to ask you something. Can you please look outside and see if your neighbour Hannah is home yet?" I asked. And then I realized how much of a stalker I sounded like.
"She's not. She's at a party with Niall" he said.
"I know. So she's still there?"
"Yes"
"Do you have any idea where the party is?" I asked.
"No" he said. I thanked him and was about to hang up when he stopped me.
"Wait Alex... What's this thing with you and Niall?" Liam asked.
"I don't know to be honest" I mumbled. At any other time I would have kicked his ass for even asking. No one needs to know anything about me. It's none of their bussiness.
"Well, not because I care for you or anything. But Niall is my friend. And for some reason he sees something in you. So maybe you should get your shit together and get him back before he finds someone else" Liam said and hung up. I was confused. Liam had set him up with this Hannah girl and now he wanted me to stop him from being with her.
"Alex you're a mess" Debby suddenly laughed. I rolled my eyes at her.
"I'm calling him" I said. Liam's word had affected me. I needed to get Niall away from that bitch.
"No Alex! Stop it!" Debby yelled. But it was too late. A woman's voice spoke in the other end of the line.
"Niall's phone. Hannah speaking" she said. God she sounded like a snob. And it didn't sound like she was at a party. I didn't know if that was a good or a bad thing.
"Hallo?" she said. I realized I hadn't said anything yet.
"Is Niall there?" I asked.
"He's... Uhm.. Busy" she said and giggled. I got it. I hung up and threw my phone against the wall which made Debby jump a little.
"He's with someone else" I mumbled. Debby put an arm around me for comfort. But it didn't help. Nothing did. He was over me.
