Niall's POV:

Alex followed me to the car. She giggled every time she fell over something. I liked this side of her. She wasn't as moody as she usually was. I chuckled as she walked into a bench that was standing on the sidewalk, and I couldn't stop laughing when she started apologizing to the bench.

"Alex come on. My car is over there" I said and pointed to the green Volvo on the other side of the street.

"That car isn't really pretty, is it?" she said and started giggling again.

"It's my parents' car" I informed her. I didn't have my own car, but my parents let me use theirs whenever I wanted, so it's okay. I dragged Alex with me across the street and opened the passenger door.

"Get in" I sighed and she did as I told her.

"Can I drive?" she asked when I closed my own door.

"No. You're drunk and it's my parents' car" I said.

"You're boring" she mumbled. Okay, maybe I wasn't that crazy about drunk Alex. She was just as annoying when she was drunk as when she was sober.

"Do you want me to take you home or?" I asked, hoping she said yes. I actually didn't want to spend more time with her. She looked out the window.

"Yeah I guess so. I have no one else to go" she sighed. But then she laughed again.

"I sound so dramatic" she said and suddenly she was sad to look at. What is wrong with this girl? One moment she's cute, then she's annoying, then she's weird and suddenly she's all sad. Please say she won't start crying. Please don't cry, I silently prayed. But of course no one heard my prayers, In that moment she started sobbing. Oh god.

"Niall I'm so alone" she whispered. What was I supposed to say? Yeah, you are. Of course you are, you won't let anyone come near you and you're rude to everyone, even though they haven't done anything to you.

"Uhm.. You can come to my place?" I finally offered. Why did I just say that?!

"Really? Thank you" she said as a tear rolled down her face.

When I parked the car outside my house, Alex was back in the happy state. She was singing some old Spice Girls song, and she kept laughing at me when I told her to be quiet.

"If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends!" she half sang, half shouted.

"That song is awesome!" she laughed when I told her to keep quiet when we got inside. I knew my parents were sleeping. Bringing her home probably wasn't the greatest idea.

"Alex, please go straight to my room. It's upstairs, and then to the right" I whispered when I opened the door. She nodded and ran upstairs. Ran. Of course she ran. My parents were probably awake now. Thanks Alex, I thought. I walked upstairs without making any noise. When I entered my room Alex was laying on my bed. With a pair of my boxers on her head.

"What are you doing?" I said and tried to get the boxers from her. But she saw this as a game and started jumping up and down on my bed with the boxers.

"Dinosaurs? Really?" she laughed and pointed to the boxers. Why had I ever agreed to pick her up? Why had I ever decided to give her my number? Biggest mistake ever.

"Give them back" I said and reached out for her. She just laughed. I climbed onto the bed and pulled her legs so she fell down to the mattress. I grabbed the boxers in a quick motion and walked over to my drawer to put them away.

"You're so boring Niall" she said and sat down on the bed again.

"Why are you even wasting your time on me then?" I asked.

"I don't know. I don't have anyone else I guess" she mumbled.

"Who were you with tonight then? I guess you weren't hanging out on a bar alone"

"I was with Louis and Zayn from school. They're really cool actually. And they aren't afraid of breaking the rules. They're fun to be with"

"Then go hang out with them if they're so perfect. I don't care" I said. I assumed she would say something, but she just laid down on the bed.

"You can take my bed. I'll take the couch in the living room" I told her. She didn't answer. I sighed and walked to the living room with a blanket. Why had I thought that she could be nice? Even when she was drunk she was rude and annoying. When I first saw her in class, I thought she looked nice. But then she started talking and I was proved wrong. She was anything but nice. She was one of those persons you just really wanna punch. But because I was raised different than that, I was friendly to her, even though she was horrible to me. And for some reason I wanted to talk to her. She annoyed me so much, but there was something about her. I hadn't stop thinking about her since we met, but not in a good way. In my head I kept naming all the bad things about her, just to make me hate her. I wanted to hate her. I really wanted to. But I couldn't.

Suddenly my thoughts got interrupted by a voice calling my name. I walked to my room and saw Alex sitting on my bed.

"I'm sorry okay? You're not completely boring. And I would never say this if I was sober, but thank you" she said. It sounded like she had really forced those words out of her mouth.

"It's okay" I said. Right when I was about to leave the room, she got up from the bed and came over to me. I was so confused. For a second I thought she was going to kiss me. But she just shook my hand. Was this some sort of way to say thank you?

"Okay" I said and walked back to my couch. She was weird. But I knew she was something special. She could be nice. Maybe we could actually be friends.
