Loser. Loser. Loser. That word kept repeating itself in my head. Loser. Niall. Loser. Maybe Niall is not a complete loser. Yes he is. He's a loser. That's for sure. A loser who wants me to change. Okay he's not the only one who wants me to change. But he told me I was a bitch. Loser.

"Do you want to read it through?" Gabriella asked me. I looked up. She was holding some papers in her hand. I shook my head. I had wrote almost a page on that assignment. That was more than enough for me. The others had put all of our work together.

"So it's finished?" I asked. Gabriella nodded.

"So you can just go now" Amanda said. I looked at her and noticed that she wasn't even looking at me.

"You can also stay for dinner if you want?" Debby said before I got the chance to say anything.

"No it's fine. Apparently I'm not wanted. I'll just leave now" I said and walked out of the room.

"Why did you say that to her?!" I heard Debby yell from the room. I was actually starting to like her. Or at least I didn't hate her. But why did she have to like Niall? It makes my situation really hard.

The next day in school I kept an eye on Debby and Niall. I wanted to see if she spoke to him. After three hours she still hadn't said a word to him. And I thought she was all cool and brave. Suddenly she came over to me. She looked around to check that we were alone.

"I've decided to throw a party this weekend and invite Niall. Then I can talk to him there" she whispered. I couldn't contain my laugher. She acted like some silly girl. But of course, that is what she is.

"Don't laugh at me. I'm really nervous, okay?" she mumbled. I nodded, still laughing though.

"And you're invited too of course. You should come" she said before leaving me alone again. A party? At Debby's house? With Niall and all the other losers from my school? Interesting.

Niall's POV:

I was standing outside the school with Harry and Liam when some girls from my class came over. Debby, Gabriella and Amanda. It was the girls Alex got in a fight with a few weeks ago. They had called her a slut or something. I didn't really like the idea of talking to them. But they looked like that was exactly what they wanted.

"Hey" the blonde one, Debby said.

"Hi" I said. Harry and Liam looked exactly as confused as I felt.

"I'm having a party this weekend" Debby said while looking at her feet.

"Good for you, I guess" I said and Liam chuckled. Debby blushed. Why was she telling me this?

"She wants you to come" her friend Amanda sighed. She glanced at Liam and Harry and sighed again.

"And you can just bring those two morons with you" she said before pulling at Debby's arm.

"Let's go" Amanda said.

"See ya" Debby said before they left. That was weird. I had never talked to them before and now they wanted me to come to a party. Liam and Harry thought it was awesome to finally get invited to a party, so they were up for it, but I wasn't sure. I didn't really know what to think of these girls.

In biology Wednesday we had to turn in our assignment about pregnancy. Harry, Liam and I had written 8 pages and I was satisfied with our work. I noticed that Alex was actually talking to the girls today. And she looked like she was enjoying it. What had happened to her? Debby whispered something to her and suddenly they both looked at me. Oh no. Was she gonna yell at me now for looking at them? Suddenly she walked over to me. I was a little scared now to be honest.

"Debby wants to know if you're coming to her party Saturday?" Alex said. Was that it? No yelling? No sassy comments or rude remarks?

"Uhm.. Yeah I guess" I said. She just nodded and turned around again.

"Are you?" I aksed before she walked away. She faced me again.

"Yes. Apparently I have to be more friendly, so I guess I have to get more involved with people around me" she said. Oh. There it was. Now she was gonna give me a speech about how rude I had been to her. But just as I thought she would say something, she gave me a smile and walked away. This felt so unreal. Alex being friendly? That was so weird. I looked at her and saw her whispering something to Debby again. Debby blushed. Amanda, on the other hand, looked like she wanted to murder someone. She was sitting with her arms crossed and she looked angry. I really didn't like her. At all.

When the class ended I gathered my things and was about to leave the classroom when Amanda came in. Alone.

"Just because Debby seems to have some sort of weird crush on you, doesn't make you cool. You're only invited to this party because Debby is acting super weird at the moment. She will soon forget about you, and you'll be back here. As a loser. Don't even start to think that you're anything special. And if you or your lame ass friends ruin this party, I'll personally make your life even worse" she said with a mocking voice.

"I don't know why you think that I'm interested in your party or your life, but I haven't done anything to you, so please leave me alone" I said and walked past her. She followed me out in the hallway. She grabbed my shoulder.

"Leave Debby alone or I'll make your life a living hell" she whispered.

"Leave him alone or I'll beat up your motherfucking ass" a voice suddenly said. I looked up and saw Alex. She was standing behind Amanda, tugging at her blonde hair.

"Fuck off" she spat at Amanda, who immediately stumbled down the hallway. I looked shocked at Alex.

"Thanks... I guess that's what to say. Why did you help me?" I asked, confused and a bit nervous.

"I have no idea. Let's just forget this happened. I just hate that bitch, so that's why I did it. It's not because I like you or anything" she said.

"No of course not" I said. She smiled at the ground.

"But I don't hate you either" she said and laughed. I had never heard her laugh like that. It wasn't in a mocking or humiliating way. She just laughed at herself I think.

"And let's be honest, any chance of beating up that perfect ass of hers, is a gift from above" she laughed. I laughed as well. It wasn't because it was super hilarious or anything, but it just felt so nice to finally not fight with her.

"Maybe we can kick her ass together someday" I suggested which made her chuckle.

"Great idea, but I don't think I'll need your help. You're weak" she teased.

"You clearly haven't seen me in action then" I said and slapped her arm lightly. Why was she suddenly like this? Why was I suddenly like this? This was the first time we had ever gotten along. Suddenly I looked into her eyes and noticed how beautiful they were. Blue. Like my own.
