Peggy's POV:
"Ugh my sisters are so annoying, any ways where were we?"
"Well you were going to order dessert and I would pay and then we can go walk around Central Park." Lafayette says to me, I can't tell if he's flirting or not.
Is this a date? Or a hang out?
"Ooo that sounds like fun, I won't order anything expensive." I say with a chuckle.
I order a flan and we split it.
He pays and we walk around Central Park to a park bench, under a lonesome willow tree.
He takes my hand, it's quiet uptown, underneath the swaying leaves of the willow tree.
We talk more, and I tell him about myself and he looks at me with his big, doe like, brown eyes. They are almost hypnotizing, it's like staring into a endless void. I look up at, the light from the leaves are hitting him perfectly. He's perfect.
His arm is around me, that same tingling sensation I felt at the hospital was back.
He leans into me, and our lips lock, and I take a deep breath in.
His lips, softer than a cloud on a beautiful day. A kiss that could make you and your whole world light up.
I pull away and put my hand on his chest looking down.
"I-I'm sorry. I can't do this."
Tears form in my eyes
"I can't do this to Hercules."
"Peggy-" he replies sighing.
I let go of his hand and begin to stand up.
"Peggy wait-"
I turn around, tears falling on my face, my hands on my elbows.
"You have to admit, you felt something." He says smiling.
I smile and chuckle "I'm sorry Laff, you are amazing. Maybe one day."
I began to walk away, leaving him there, underneath the lonesome willow tree.
