Addilyn's POV

I found myself staring back into his dark, lustful eyes. And then suddenly, he slowly was leaning in.

Jack was so close that I could feel his breathe on my skin. He closed his eyes and put his hand softly on my cheek. I felt my heart beat twice as fast. And then he put his lips on mine.

This kiss felt good, actually better than good. It was amazing. Our lips locked and moved in sync. It felt never ending, until it actually ended when we heard someone yell, "AVERY, IS THAT YOU?!"

Our heads darted up to the entrance of the park. There stood some random guy that I didn't know but I guess Jack recognized him. Jack looked back over at me, his cheeks become a light pink. He stood up, brushed off the dirt on his pants and then held out his hand to help me up. This time I let him help me up. Jack slowly started walking to the guy as he approached us.

"Yooo, what's up Avery?" the guy asked. They did the handshake all guys do when they see each other.

"Nothing much man. Your timing was perfect," Jack said sarcastically.

The guy looked over Jack's shoulder and looked at me. He chuckled. "Oh yeah. Sorry about that. Who's this lucky lady?" I smiled, feeling myself blush a bit.

"This is Addilyn. Addilyn, This is my friend Reed." I waved and he smiled.

"Sorry for interrupting your date."

"It's all good," Jack said. It's not all good, I thought, we were kissing!!  "We were just going anyways." Jack picked up the skateboards, said his goodbyes to Reed, and led me to his car.

The car ride was silent for a while so I decided to speak first. "That was fun."

"Really? Skateboarding didn't bore you?" I shook my head frantically.

"Not at all. I had fun." He gave me a look, as if he didn't believe me. "Really. I did."

"Well the night is still young. I have one more thing planned." This took me by surprise. I definitely thought after being caught kissing would ruin our date and make him want to get as far away from me as possible.

"Is this also a secret?"

"You know me so well princess." His words sent shivers down my spine. We drove for a couple of minutes and then he pulled into Taco Bell.

"Yay! I love Taco Bell," I said.

"Yeah I know."

"How'd you know?" I gave him a questioning look.

"You just look like a Taco Bell fan."

"What?! Are you calling me fat?" I laughed.

"Oh gosh no! That really backfired on me. Kim told me."

We went through the drive-thru and he already knew my regular order. When I gave him a questioning look he mouthed "Kim." We got our food and he payed. Then he continued to drive. After a while of singing along to the radio we had reached our destination. We were on top of some hill and we had a perfect view of the sunset. He turned the car off and started opening the Taco Bell bag, handing me my food. He kept the radio on but turned it down so that we could talk.

We sat in his car, eating, and talking for an hour. The sun had set and the moon was shining alongside the stars. We had a great view of the city. At first we talked about really random stuff and and then we got into more serious topics like what we wanted to do with our lives and college and all that. Midway through our conversation on future plans, I felt him grab my hand, intertwining our fingers. His hand was so soft. The touch of his skin was able to warm my whole body.

I started getting really tired and that was a sign for Jack to take me home. I think I dozed off in the car ride because I don't remember driving back. Jack walked me to my front door and gave a quick kiss before I entered my house. This was one of the best nights of my life. I ran up to my room and jumped on my bed. I just laid there, rethinking all the events that happened. I feel asleep with the biggest smile on my face.
