[COMPLETED] It has been over year since I have last seen him, those curls, those dark eyes. And now I was meeting him again, but this time it was as his best friend's girlfriend.

I knew I was going to be doing a lot for this date so I started as soon I walked in the door. I took a shower to get rid of the grossness that school had given me. Once I was out of the shower I turned on my speaker and started blasting music as I got ready. Jack never really gave me any clues on where we were going so I had no idea what to wear. I texted him.
Me:Hey, what should I wear for this mystery date?
Jack: Anything you want :)
Well that didn't help. I got another message from him 5 minutes later telling me to keep it comfy. He should know it's hard to keep it comfy AND cute. I decided on a casual outfit with my hair pulled into a ponytail that looked like this:

It took me so long to get ready that I barely had anytime to spare when I was done. I walked downstairs with my phone and purse and sat on the couch. I was scrolling through instagram when my front door unlocked. In came my mom. "Hey honey, you look nice," she said.
"Thanks. I have a date."
"Oooh, with who?"
"Jack" I said smiling.
"The same guy that hurt you only a few weeks ago?" She gave me a weird look. When I was mad at Jack I kind of talked bad about him to my mom. We have a really close relationship and we trash talk everyone. I nodded to her question,
"Yes mom, that Jack. I'm not mad at him anymore." She had a worried look.
"Okay, but be careful. I don't want to see you hurt again." I smiled and she walked off into the kitchen. I waited a little longer on the couch when there was a knock on my door. It made me jump but then i hurried to answer it. Of course it was Jack and he stood there with some flowers. He was wearing a red adidas crewneck.
Jack's POV
I pulled up to Addilyn's house and was shaking as I got out of the car. I was so nervous. I don't know why. I have never been this nervous over a girl. I see her everyday and never feel this way. I think I just want this date to go perfect for a perfect girl like her. I went up to the door with the flowers in my hand. I inhaled and exhaled then knock on the door. I stared down at my feet when I heard the door open. As soon as my eyes looked at her I couldn't stop smiling. She looked so beautiful. I could feel my cheeks turn red but I didn't care.
Addilyn's POV
Jack just stood there smiling. It was cute at first but now it's just getting awkward. "There you go again with the staring" I said with a giggle. He looked so embarrassed.
"Oh yeah, sorry about that," he extended the flowers toward me, "these are for you". They were lavender wildflowers, my favorite.
"Thank you, I'll go put them in a vase and we can go." I walked into the kitchen and handed them to my mom asking her to find a vase for them. I said bye to her and left with Jack. Now it's time to reveal the mystery.
