Shawn.

"Enjoy your stay in L.A," a woman said as everyone on the plane rushed to get off.

My heart was beating over and over as I rushed off the plane and put of the airport. I didn't pack anything, because I didn't need anything.

I only needed Elena.

As I got into a taxi, I gave them the address to the dance studio I first met Elena in. If that place was real, I knew she had to be real.

We drove off into the streets which were taking forever. I took the time to debate on what I would say to her. She wouldn't know who I was would she?

She's never met me so how would I approach her?

'Hey I'm Shawn, you're boyfriend?'

No that'll be stupid and she'll most likely call the cops. I didn't know what to do, so I decided that when the time comes, I'll go from there.

I couldn't get her out of my head. Every time I would close my eyes, I would see her. I didn't want to, but I did.  Seeing her only made me more scared.

It's either she's real or she's not. My hope is that she is, but if she isn't, I lose everything.

Although I've technically never met her, I did in my heart. I met her and I fell in love with her.

As the driver finally pulled up to the destination, my nerves began to get the best of me.

I got out of the car, paying him a little bit too much then needed, but it didn't matter. I just needed to see Elena.

I rushed into the building seeing the same man and woman I had seen when I first met her.

~flashback~

"Hello, how may I help you today?" One of them said while coming up from behind the desk.

"Hi, we're here to see Elena," Andrew stated and their eyes widened.

"Wait you're Shawn Mendes?" The other one questioned and I nodded.

Her breath started going heavy and I slightly laughed inside my head.

"Anyways, I'll take you to where she is, but if there's still music going on, I wouldn't go in," The guy said and I nodded.

We started walking down a long hallway, and I was kind of feeling scared of doing this right now.

"So you're taking lessons from her?" He asked me and I nodded, breaking me from my thoughts.

"Well good luck man, I mean Lena is one tough chick who will kick your ass when it comes to dancing," he said and that made me feel uneasy a bit.

"So I'm guessing she takes dancing very seriously?" I questioned and he stopped in his tracks, but kept walking soon after.

"More than seriously, I mean if she could, I think she would kill someone if they messed up one movement in a dance," he explained and I nodded.

"Well then, best luck to me I guess," I chuckled, trying to get all of my nerves out of my body.

"Yeah good luck is what you'll need, but more like a paramedic when she's done with you," he laughed while opening one of the doors.

He poked his head in, and I could hear music inside.

~end of flashback~

"Hello? May we help you?" The woman said cutting me from my thoughts of her.

"I u-uh," I paused not knowing if I would sound crazy or not.

"Is there an Elena here?" I asked and they both looked at each other in sympathy.

"Elena Daniels?" The man asked.

"Yes, her. Is she here?" I asked, my heart beginning to beat faster and faster.

"I-I'm s-sorry, but Elena's been in the hospital for over a month," he said.

"W-what do y-you mean?"

"She was in an accident and has been in a coma ever since."

"What happened?"

"She was driving home and her car malfunctioned, causing her to take her car over a bridge and into the water," the woman said.

All of my emotions came colliding on me. She drowned. The last time I saw her she drowned.  She drowned in front of me, but in reality she did it on her own.

"W-where is s-she?" I said.

"Like the hospital? Here I'll write down the address for you," the man said while grabbing a scratch sheet of paper to write it down.

Once he did, he gave it to me, and next thing I knew, I ran outside of the studio in search for her again.

I called another taxi man and impatiently waited for them to come get me. After they finally arrived I told them the address and we were off.

~~~
I ran into the hospital, going down every hall, checking every room without getting caught.
I knew I wasn't allowed to be here, but I had to find her. There was only one room left that I didn't check.
I felt my body get pulled in the rooms direction. Even if I couldn't see her, I knew she was there.
I could feel her, and I wanted nothing more but to see her again. I walked into the room slowly, taking in everything in the room.
Flowers rested on the side table brittle and dead. The water inside the had turned brown.
Everything inside felt dead except for one thing. I could hear a monitor beat ever so lightly, indicating there was still life in this room.
Elena.
