The [L/n] family is known for having a long line of memory weavers who have worked for the royal familiy for years, passing on the craft from generation to generation. After the passing away of your father, you've become the head of family and ass...
You recalled the events of the past few days as you sat in the moving carriage with your maid.

"What are you doing?" the dark haired boy looked at the large book in your hands curiously from the other side of the table.

After agreeing to work on the case together in the morning, the Earl had presented you with a complete list of suspects Sebastian had made and he'd been watching quietly as you scanned his list and surveyed a thick book of your own simultaneously.
"Oh," Ciel's voice had broken you from the trance you were in. "sorry, I forgot the explain."
You slid the book across the table so he could see.
"This book is a record of where, what and who the memories our family has collected includes. There's a lot more of these back at my mansion, but this is the most recent edition."
Fascination flashed brightly in the boy's dark blue eyes.
"I see," he spoke in his characteristically reflective voice.
Even though you had only known him for a while, you've grown to like the soothing way the Earl spoke when he contemplated things, carefully calculating the results of each action.
"if we could find a memory that involves these people or the places they claimed to be at, it would be a massive help to the case."
"That's what I was hoping for," you let out a small sigh- there were hundreds and hundreds of records in that one book, not to mention all the other volumes that were back at your mansion. "but it seems like it's going to take longer than I'd expected."
The dark haired boy looked at the suspect list once more before ripping it in half.
"There," your exhaustion was lifted when you saw the kind expression on Ciel's face as he handed you half of the suspect list.
"I have my own ways of investigating the suspects and if you just continue with what you're doing, we'll get this done in no time."

"I appreciate that you're working hard, but be careful not to over work yourself, okay?"
You looked up from the yellow worn down pages of the book to see a cup of tea being placed in front of you.
"Sebastian made it," the dark haired male spoke matter-of-factly when he saw you staring at the cup. "It's good."
"Oh" you weren't used to having someone other than Mary-Anne worry over your well-being and even though it was foreign sensation, you enjoyed the it nonetheless.
You lifted up the cup gently and slowly , careful to not cause any damage to it. "Thank you."
"No problem."

* "Are you sure about this?" the usually unreadable eye of the Earl was filled with obvious concern.
"Sorry," you spoke apologetically to the dark haired boy. You'd spent a number of pleasant days the Phanromhive manor, but memories that stored back at your home were required in order to further investigate the suspects. "It's just a quick trip back to my manor and I'm coming right back."
"Please be careful."
"I will. " You gave Ciel a reassuring smile. "So try not to worry too much, okay?"

Your train of thought came to an abrupt stop due to a sudden loud noise.
You only had time to see the carriage turning over before you hit your head and got plunged into darkness.
