The [L/n] family is known for having a long line of memory weavers who have worked for the royal familiy for years, passing on the craft from generation to generation. After the passing away of your father, you've become the head of family and ass...
You walked down the corridors of the Quinton manor, feeling extremely worn out. Although you helped Ciel and his butler search for evidence about the smuggling of dangerous animals throughout the night, there was nothing to be found.
Alister was either innocent or a guilty man who happens to be very cautious. For Louisuette's sake, you hoped the former was true.
As you walked through the entrance hall, you were met by a sight that made you wonder whether or not the overwork from last night had caused you to get hallucinations.

"Alois?" you called out, still unsure if he was really there or not.
"[Y/n]," the blonde looked up from the yellow balls of fluff and made his way towards you, a trail of baby chicks following him. "I haven't got the time to properly talk to you yet, have I?"
"Did you want to talk to me about something?"
"Oh, nothing in particular," the male spoke airily. "but I can't really persuade you to marry me if I can't talk to you, can I?"
His statement made your face flush a bright red.
"You still haven't given up on that idea yet?" your voice was shaky from embarrassment.
"Nope," Alois seemed like he was about to say something more, but a daring chick decided to start climbing up the blonde's body. It somehow got up to waist of the young male using only its claws and beak.
"Hey, stop that!" the blue eyed male spoke to the chick as he detached it from his clothes.
The fluffy bundle of energy continued to struggle in the hands of your friend, flapping its small wings and letting out high pitched squawks.
"You want a chicken?" Alois asked you, beckoning to the little chick in his hands.
"Sure." you chuckled at the sight of the small creature determined to fight the Earl.
"Careful, it's feisty." He warned as he handed the baby chick to you.
The bird continued to struggle in your palms but calmed down once you patted its small head with your finger.
You smiled at the sight, but still felt like there was still something off about the situation.
"Why were you with these chicks in the first place?"
"Oh, that, " Alois looked sheepish. "Louisuette asked me to see if a package had arrived here since I was heading here anyway. I just got caught up in playing with the birds."
"They seem to like you." You beckoned to the birds that followed him. The tiredness of the last night was lifted off your shoulders as you looked at the scene in front of you.
Louisuette was a firm believer that of animals liked a person, they couldn't be bad. She often tested people she just met this way and if this too was a test, Alois would've passed with flying colours.
(Personally, you thought it would be impossible for any living thing to dislike the blonde, so kind and so full of energy as he was. )
"We ought to get them back from where they come from though."
You agreed with the young Earl and helped him herd the tiny birds back into the box. Claude watched the two of you do this from farther away- the animals certainly didn't like him.
"You have something in your hair." Alois pointed at a yellow feather that had buried itself in your (h/c) hair. "Don't worry," the blonde stopped you after you made a movement to brush it off, but failed. "I got it."
He combed through your (h/c) locks to remove the feather, being careful not to make it painful. The feeling of his fingers in your hair made your face heat up; although the sensation was unfamiliar, it was in no way unpleasant.

"Miss [Y/n] seems much more cheerful now,"the maid's straw coloured hair bounced as she excitedly reported her findings to the young girl. "Just as you planned, right young miss?"
"The word planned makes me sound quite manipulative."
"Oh- I- I didn't mean- I just-" the words came out as a jumbled mess because of her nerves.
"Don't worry, I'm not criticizing you." Louisuette's eyes held nothing but affection for her maid as she said this. "You're right at any rate. I suppose I did plan it out in a way. I thought [Y/n] looked like she could use some cheering up, that's all. Besides, if that Trancy gentleman really intends to marry [Y/n], he should at least be able to make her happy."
"Marry?!" Despite all her training, the maid couldn't help but show her surprise. Her young mistress had made yet another queer proclamation.
"We'll see."

Thearoma of tea filled a room inhabited by the figure of a butler and his master.
"Young master, you wouldn't happen to have any orders for me concerning the girl, would you?"
"You mean Louisuette, I suppose." The dark haired male took a sip of his freshly poured tea. "And no, I dont intend to do anything with her just yet."
"Just yet?" the butler prompted. He was dangerously close to crossing the line of the duties of a butler, but chances like these didn't come every day. Besides, his master was now being put in a position he'd never been in before. It'd be amusing to see how he'd act. Or so the red eyed demon thought.
"At present, no one in this house thinks Louisuette's statements are anything more than childish carelessness. Her words do not hold any threat towards us as of now." The eyepatched male presented his butler with his evaluation of the situation. "However, the moment her statements cause suspicion towards us, I won't hesitate to deal with her accordingly."
