[m/l/n] = mother's last name
You sat beside a silent Mary-Anne and observed the blonde woman sitting on the opposite side of the carriage out of the corner of your eye.
After two days of staying at your mansion, she'd insisted that you went to the Trancy manor to get aquintanced with your fiancé.
Realising that what you were doing could be classified as rude, you forced yourself to stop staring at the woman and diverted your attention to the task you had given Roger before you'd left.

"Do you think you can find information on her?"
"Of course I can." The dark haired male spoke, somewhat offended. "But why would you want to find information on your aunt, anyway?"
"I've never seen her for years." you spoke cynically. "We don't even know if she's actually related to me or not."
"You mean she's just an unrelated woman sucking up to you for money?"
You nodded darkly.
"I suppose it won't hurt to look into it." your butler spoke resignedly. "Her name's Katherine [m/l/n], right?"
"Yes."
"I'll have the information ready by the time you get back."

Even if Roger was set out on the task, you reckoned it couldn't hurt to do a bit of investigating on your own. Maybe the head of the Trancy household would know something about her- it seemed she knew his Uncle Arnold.
You couldn't help but feel uncomfortable when you thought of your fiancé. Being engaged to someone you haven't met scared you quite a lot- you'd still have to marry Alois Trancy even if you had absolutely nothing in common.
You let out a sigh at the thought of incompatibility and spent the rest of the carriage ride looking out the window, wondering what the boy you were going to meet would be like.

"Isn't it beautiful?" the blonde haired woman spoke with enthusiastic admiration as she lead you and the tawny haired maid through the grounds of the Trancy manor.
It was an enormous building that was grandly designed- you weren't sure if it classified as beautiful or not, but it was definitely expensive. You followed your clearly excited aunt as she walked towards the manor's entrance, where two figures stood together.
"Katherine," the older man who you assumed was Arnold addressed the blonde. "It's nice to see you again."
The blonde haired boy who was standing next to him broke into a smile when his eyes landed on you.
"You must be [Y/n]," he spoke with cheerful energy. "I was wondering when I'd get to see you."
"It's nice to meet you, Earl Trancy."
"Call me Alois," he spoke with a friendly smile. "We are officially engaged now, after all."
You returned the smile and let yourself relax slightly- he seemed like a nice person.
"Well I suppose we ought to get going now." the older man spoke up.
"Yes, of course." your aunt made a move to follow the man.
"You're leaving?" you were unable to hide your suprise. You'd wanted to question her about what she was doing was while she was in France and why she decided to arrange an engagement for a niece she hardly knew so suddenly.
"Sorry dear, but I need to sort out some business."
You remained silent, stung by the lack of information you'd been given.
She hurried away after your fiancé's uncle and the two of you watched them leave in silence.
The placid atmosphere was broken when the blonde haired boy enveloped your hand in his, a smile plastered onto his face. He seemed to be really happy about something.
"Let's get going, shall we?"
