Third person P. O. V

A sparrow fluttered down onto the unconscious [h/c] girl from the branch it had been watching the events from.

All the other birds flew away from the commotion, but as a sparrow of the
[l/n] family,  it had been trained to watch strange occurrences silently and go back to it's master.

In this case,  the master was lying on the ground, her precious suitcase lying battered next to the remains of the now empty carriage.

The sparrow pecked on the girl's hand and started tugging on her hair until she started to respond.

Your P. O. V

"Ughhh" you forced yourself to lift yourself up into a sitting position.
"Where am I...?"

You were processing your surroundings when the details of the previous events suddenly came back to you.

"Mary-Anne!" you rushed towards the carriage and your greatest fears became a reality when you found it empty.

"No, no, no" you tried to think up the next course of action until you heard the familiar fluttering sound of a pair of wings.

"Miss [Y/n]!" The cheerful voice you recognised as Finny's came out as you ran towards the Phantomhive manor.

"What happened...?" the smile was wiped off his face when he saw the state you were in. Your dress was covered in dust and you were a panting mess after running all the way here with your suitcase.

"I need to see Ciel."

Ciel's P. O. V

I let Sebastian serve my afternoon tea when the doors of my study were flung open suddenly to reveal an exhausted [h/c]  haired girl.

"I know who the murderer is!" she shouted for the first time since I've met her.

"Well,  that's great..." I spoke slowly and quietly,  trying to properly process the situation. If she knew who the murderer was then why was she so-

"And he's got Mary-Anne!"

Oh.

That's why.

"Who was it?"  It would've been absolutely tactless to ask this question to any other person in this situation,  but I knew [Y/n]  was different. That girl knew exactly what she wanted and was going to achieve her goals no matter what means she had to take.

[Y/n] grabbed a vial and pulled of it's lid,  revealing a glowing image of her carriage driver deliberately crashing into a tree and carrying Mary-Anne away.

"The driver..."

I felt a pain in my chest when the [h/c] haired girl nodded somberly,  the bright lights that used to reside in her eyes nonexistent.

"Sebastian," I addressed my butler "get the carriage ready,  we're tracking down that man."

"Yes, my lord."

I walked towards the shaking girl when the raven haired male left the room to make preparations.

"You can stay here if you want." I whispered quietly in her ear.

"No one's going to think badly of you

"No one's going to think badly of you."

"No!" I backed away slightly as the [h/c]  shook her head angrily, infuriated by my words.
"I told Mary-Anne that I wouldn't let anything harm her and I intend to do just that."

I found myself getting moved by her words once again.

"I made a promise and I WILL keep it."

My first impression of this girl was right- she really is something else.
