Ciel's P. O. V

"So you've finally found me,  huh?"
The man looked up from the medicine box he was toying around with when I entered the room.

A very dangerous person indeed- he looked respectable and well balanced on the outside. No one would've suspected a such an ordinary man,  yet right now,  there was a murderous, almost insane look in his eyes.

"Never thought I'd be seeing you so soon," I addressed the cloaked man coldly. "Dr. Neill Cream."

"Well,  well, " the dark haired man shook his head. "You're rather a smart little one aren't you? The Scotland Yard actually stopped suspecting me after I offered to help with the case too."

I stood quietly as the man madly rambled on about his poisoning cases proudly. What he said now could be used against him later, so I might as well let him talk.

Your P. O. V

Strangely enough, as you rushed through the hallways trying to find Ciel, a memory started playing itself in your head.

You tried to carry the suitcase as well as you could from your room to the carriage waiting out the mansion.

You were about to attend to the first task the Queen had ever given you, but it was also your first faraway trip without your father and you were determined to take his case with you.

Not used to the weight of all the memory vials,  you ended up nearly losing your balance on your way down the stairs multiple times as Mary-Anne watched on nervously behind you.

"Young mistress," your maid spoke up, nervously reaching for the suitcase. "Let m-"

The tawny haired girl let out a small cry when her hand was slapped away.

Realizing what you'd done, you let out a rapid flow of apologies. "I'm so sorry,  I didn't mean to,  I don't know what I was thinking- are you okay?"

"I'm fine." your maid spoke in her usual comforting voice.

"I'm so sorr-"

"Don't worry about it." Mary-Anne spoke firmly this time. "You loved your father and his suitcase is important to you, I understand that. But you're a good person [Y/n], I'm sure you'll be able to find something that's equally, if not more important to you someday."

Something important to me...

You remembered wondering what Mary-Anne meant when she said that, but you thought you could understand little bit better now.

Ciel's P. O. V

"Come back to get your friend's maid did you?" Cream spoke tauntingly. "Well that's too bad, I've never failed to get a victim before and I don't intend to fail now."

"Give it up," I  spoke to the doctor once he had ended his speech. "You use poison and that's a useless weapon once your opponent knows about it- the only reason you succeeded so far was because you targeted unsuspecting people."

"Hmmmm, is that so? I wouldn't be too sure about that if I were you."

Having said that, he pushed me into the wall and placed a knife on my throat threateningly.

"There's a nice little poison I put on this blade, " he gave out a small, twisted chuckle. "I can't wait to see how you'll writhe when the poison gets into your bloodstream."

I was about to pull off my eye patch and summon Sebastian when the door burst open, revealing a [h/c]  haired girl.

"[Y/n]!" The doctor stopped his blade at the sound of my voice, turning to look at the newcomer.
"It's not safe here, go ba-"

I was cut off when a brown rectangular object hit Cream in the face, knocking the knife out of his hand and pushing him off me.

[Y/n]  had thrown her suitcase at my assailant.

The fastenings of the case broke from the impact and a golden mist started to swallow up the room.

"Come on." [Y/n]  grabbed my hand and pulled me out the room before the mist could engulf me.

"What about your suitcase? And all the memories?" Since I've known [Y/n], she's never let that case out of her sight and throwing the case and smashing all the contents inside it seemed like the least likely thing that she would do.

"I found something more important to me." my heart skipped a beat when I heard her statement and I could feel my face  warming up.

I'll never forget the look on her face when she said those words.

She had the most beautiful smile- it was mesmerically luminous.
