The wind blew softly, making the white petals of the roses surrounding you dance gracefully. It was late afternoon and the sun's soft glow was reflected by the tea in your cup. You sat in the extremely well kept garden with the blonde haired male and in the middle of the circular table stood a glass vial emitting a bright yellow light.
"So," Alois pointed at the vial hesitantly. "You're saying that whatever I do with this is my choice?"
"It only seems fair this way, don't you think?"
"I suppose so..."

"I think I know how to solve that problem."
After taking out an empty vial from your suitcase, you put your hands to the head of the old man and proceeded to pull out a bundle of glowing threads. Careful not to let any of them slip out if your hands, you trapped them in the glass vial, firmly sealing the lid.
Slipping the vial back into the suitcase you ushered Alois and Claude outside the room.
"What did you-" the blue eyed male asked you, puzzled as he looked back at his dazed uncle sitting confusedly on the ground.
"Let's just say he won't be remembering this encounter anytime soon."

The two of you stared at the bottled memories in silence. You had been careful to extract the memories the old man had during the past month which you knew was the time he'd started plotting everything thanks to the cinematic records of the woman that had pretended to be your aunt.
The woman's cinematic records fixed everything on your side of the story into place, however, the vial on the table would explain all about Alois's part of the story.
All you knew was that the woman had been an immigrant who was desperate for money and was payed by Arnold Trancy to help him in his schemes. Although you were the one to extract his memories, you'd done it in such a rush that you haven't the time to see everything properly. The threads had come out in a jumbled mess, but now when they've had time to settle, the blonde haired boy would be able to make sense of them.
Usually, you would've considered not looking at the memories properly as a huge mistake, but just this once, you were glad you didn't look.
"Are you sure you're going to let me do whatever I want with this?" Alois questioned you once again.
"Of course."
This matter concerned Alois and his uncle and if anyone had a right to decide what to do with the vial, it was the blue eyed boy sitting with you in the garden.
"Well, if that's the case." The blonde reached out for the memories and after taking a look at the vial one last time, he stood up threw it away with such force that it scared you.
A sound of smashing glass could be heard in a distance and bits of yellow light could be seen through one of the tall rose bushes. The bush shook violently as the the contents of the vial tumbled out inside it, but the flowers and leaves made it impossible to properly see what the contents of the memories were.
"I didn't make a copy of it," your voice shook when you spoke. "there's no getting it back now too..."
"Good." The boy turned back to face you, a grin on his face. "I didn't want to see it anyway."
"You didn't?"
"Nope." he shook his head cheerfully as if none of the recent events had ever happened.
"Why not?" this was really none of your business, but you found it impossible to hide your curiosity.
"Whatever my uncle was plotting landed the two of us into a pretty dangerous mess, but it was what led me to meet you and if the memories of my uncle is going to ruin the ones I made with you, I'd rather not see them at all." The blonde haired boy spoke with warmth and there was a twinkle in his blue eyes. "You see, I don't ever want to think of our encounter as an unfortunate thing."
Alois's speech left you at a loss for words. You never knew he was feeling such things and felt extremely touched by the amount of thought he'd put into the decision.
"I don't regret anthing during my time with you," the boy was speaking in a more down-casted way now. "but I wish our engagement could've lasted longe, if only just a bit."
After all the events, you'd forgotten about how the engagement was just a trick for Arnold Trancy to I inherit more money. Despite knowing that, you couldn't help but let out a sigh at the thought. It was arranged without your consent, but you had genuinely enjoyed yourself during the time spent with Alois.
"Don't worry," the blue eyed boy regained his cheery personality again. "I'll make sure you want to be my wife anyways- arranged engagements aren't the only way nobles can get married, after all."
You felt your face burn up after hearing Alois speak so boldly about the matter, but smiled at the thought of getting to spend more time with him. "I'll look forward to it."
