"Lexi..." Levi begun, stopping when I held my hand. He frowned, his face holding pain and sorrow. "Qǐng. (Please.)"
I shook my head and sighed. "Why didn't you call?" I asked. "If you had..." I shrugged not sure what I could've done. I had a feeling as to what was happening to him, but I knew that I was going to have to ask my grandmother. I was sure that she knew what was happening to him and would be able to help better than I.
"Wǒ shìguòle, (I tried,)" he said, moving a hand through his hair. He pursed his lips and narrowed his eyes in disgust. "Tā ràng wǒ kàojìn tā. (She kept me close to her.)" He huffed and shook his head. "Jíshǐ wǒ xiǎng yào wǒ yě bùnéng dǎ diànhuà gěi nǐ, (I couldn't call even if I wanted to,)" he said.
I hesitated and placed my hand on his face, causing him to put his hand on mine. "Do you trust me?" I asked, causing him to nod his head. "Then trust me to know what to do with this pack and with you." I grabbed his hand and squeezed it, reassuring him and myself that he was here, and he was safe even if it was for a little while.
Levi smiled, but I could tell that it was somewhat forced. "Nǐ yǐjīng gǎibiàn, (You have changed,)" he noted.
I took a deep breath and rubbed his cheek, causing him to close his eyes. "I know," I whispered, pulling my hand from his and took mine off of his cheek. I placed my wall back up, making sure that this male couldn't see my feelings. I knew that the man that controlled my best friend would use it against me. I knew that he was going to use my love and against us, but I was sure I could handle that. "You should get going," I said, causing him to frown. "You do not want to make your capture mad."
Levi's frown deepened but nodded his head. "Bāoguǒ..? (The pack..?)"
"Leave that to me," I said. "I have handled things for two years. I can handle it for longer."
Levi nodded his head. "Hǎo. Wǒ xìnrèn nǐ. (Ok. I trust you.)" He pecked my lips before taking off his shirt, showing me the markings that the spell had made on his body. A weary, smirk appeared on his face as he caught me staring at his toned body and held it out to me. "Suǒyǐ nǐ kěyǐ zài wǎnshàng shuìjiào. (So that you can sleep at night.)"
I, hesitantly, took the shirt from him, his familiar scent wafting into my nose. My fingers touched his, and I thought I felt sparks. However, it was dull, and it didn't last long.
Levi offered me a smile and pecked my lips. "Wǒ-" He tried to speak, trying to tell me something, but he couldn't. Fear filled his eyes as he tried to choke out the words that he wanted to say. "Wǒ-"
Again, I placed my hand on his face, silencing him. My throat clenched in sorrow as I caught the pained look on his eyes. "I know," I whispered softly before back away. I placed my hands behind my back and squared my body, looking more like a soldier than his friend. "Go."
Levi frowned but nodded his head. His whole body was stiff as he walked out the door, taking my heart with him.
I sighed and sunk onto the couch, clutching his shirt in my hand. "I love you, too," I whispered, staring at the sky. I cleared my throat and rubbed the shirt between my fingers, my heart beating softly. "I love you, too."

"I would like my shirt back," the sneering voice of Levi said. "I know you have it."
I turned my head slightly in his direction, watching the older Warriors fight the young ones. "Can't," I said, watching as a young warrior pin one of the older ones. I held my hand, causing them to stop fighting. "Good work. However, you are off balance."
"Am not," the male, a sixteen-year-old, said. He narrowed his eyes at me, causing me to raise an eyebrow. "I have him down. Call it."
I bit back a snort and nodded for the Warrior to take him down. "Rule number one in fighting an experienced Warrior, never think you have them pinned unless they tap out." I folded my arms across my back as I watched the Warrior pin down the sixteen-year-old. "Rule number two, never let your guard down or celebrate early. You, yourself, might be in a pickle."
The young Wolf struggled underneath the Warrior before tapping out. He glared at me, causing me to blink. "Oh, like you can do better," he said.
I raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you saying that you can defeat me?" I asked.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," the older Warrior warned. "She is a beast when it comes to battles."
The young Warrior lifted his head in defiance, causing my Wolf to bristle and growl. "Yes," he said.
I studied him and watched as he tried not to squirm. I was impressed by his behavior and knew that he would be a strong Warrior if he did not have an ego. I took off of my shirt and tossed it at Levi, causing him to growl. "Be a Dear and hold that," I said, glancing at the Alpha before stepping into the circle.
"Al-"
"If not, then you can drop it, Alpha," I said, interrupting him. "It gets... hot when I am fighting." I flashed the Alpha a smirk before turning my gaze towards the young male.
A couple if the older male Warriors wolf-whistled and catcalled, but I knew that they didn't mean anything about it. Most knew that I did in fact love Levi and most had mates themselves.
The younger Warriors stayed silent, and I was sure that they knew that their buddy was on his "deathbed". They were silently making bets as to who would win, and I knew that most were betting for me.
"Oh, so you want to get down and dirty. Is that it?" the young warrior asked, cockily. He took off his shirt and flexed his muscles, causing me to yawn.
"Are you done acting like a clown?" I asked, causing the male to glare at me. "I thought we were here to fight." I gestured for one of the warriors to bring me a piece of rope. "I will make this interesting," I said and placed my arms behind my back. "Tie them up."
"A-"
"I said, tie them up," I said, coldly.
The warrior huffed and nodded his head, tying my hands behind my back. He made sure that they were tight enough for me not to slip through them but loose enough that they didn't hurt.
"This is going to be easy," the young Warrior said, causing me to snort and roll my eyes.
"Rule number three, never underestimate your opponent. You never know. Your first battle could always be your last."
