(That title though tbh. *evil grin* So, I'm tired as I am writing this sentence bc my head is killing me so I may end up writing this actual chapter later. But, first, I had a lot of evil ideas lately and shit like that. So like, panic. Second, next chapter, *chuckles nervously* Honestly, I am not going to explain myself until everything happens. But before I carry that out, I need your votes! Is it just me or does Maxlar flirt with Lucifer? Am I imagining things? Like the way Maxie acts around Luci is different, right? Please tell me I'm not the only one imagining this. Wait... I'm the author. Oh well *shrugs*. Third, um, shit... What was third? Oh yeah, I um, wanted to thank everyone for almost 1K comments! Honestly, comments make me feel better than reads! Hope you 'enjoy' this chapter and be sure to keep commenting! Until later...)

"Just please stop." Lucifer begs, voice cracking. Maxlar chuckles, studying Lucifer's face.

"Nah." He smirks and Lucifer glares at him, eyes red from tears.

"Now, what am I doing that's so bad?" Maxlar asks, sitting in a chair across from Lucifer. Lucifer glares at him, silently steaming.

"Silent treatment?" Maxlar asks, pouting slightly. Lucifer remains silent, letting the tears fall. Maxlar inhales deeply and chuckles. He slowly twists his hand and Lucifer's face twists in pain.

"So, we gonna talk now?" Maxlar smirks and Lucifer nods weakly.

"Just leave Bean alone." Lucifer whispers and Maxlar cocks his head to the side, face suddenly taking on a caring look. Lucifer skeptically looks back at him.

"Hmm... let me think about that one..." Maxlar sighs, but his sympathetic look disappears slowly.

"Try this: hell no." Maxlar chuckles, licking his lips. Lucifer glares at him, tearing up slightly.

"Oh, if only your little Bean could see you now. Oh wait..." Maxlar grins evilly, the mad look returning to his eye.

"What are you going to do?" Lucifer pants, starting to freak out just slightly.

"Shh, that's a secret."

(MEANWHILE POOR LITTLE BEAN)

The hospital stay was so far a total and utter nightmare, to say the least. Brittney felt exposed the entire time, someone was almost always coming in and checking on her. She loved the visits from the hunters and angels, but sometimes, it got to be a bit too much.

Lucifer would know if I've had enough people for a day. Brittney thinks bitterly while the door was opening yet again. The doctor smiles at her while walking over.

"Tomorrow, you get to go back home. Sound good?" Brittney fakes a smile and nods.

"All right, let me check a few things and then I'll leave." Brittney forces a nicer smile and impatiently waits for him to leave again. Once he does, she lets out a small breath of relief. A small sob escapes her throat, rattling her.

"Hey, Bean." Lucifer's voice echoes through the room, causing Brittney to jump.

"Luci?" She squeaks before seeing Lucifer appear at the foot of her bed.

"You okay?" He whispers and she lets out another sob.

"But you're not real." Lucifer shakes his head.

"Bean, I'm right here. What's wrong?" He asks and she shakes her head, sobbing.

"You're not here. You're dead." Brittney cries and Lucifer sighs. The door opens and Charlie walks in, checking up.

"Hey, what's wrong?" She asks, walking over to Brittney.

"He's not real. He died." She sobs, still looking at Lucifer. Charlie looks over in that direction, but furrows her brow in confusion.
