"Are you trying to build a brand or a porn star, Laurence?"

"Sex sells, Nyla."

"Sex sells you're right but I want classy not trashy." I attempted to explain to Laurence Philips who was the manager of a few of my clients. He had been contacted by the owner of an adult magazine called 'Happy Endings' and they wanted to do a spread on one of my new models, Dana. Dana, being only 18 years old, had a very youthful face and a very opposite, mature, curvy body.

'Happy Endings' was known for its' fetish with women who practically looked like children but over sexualised. Quite a few models who had worked for them had either gone into the porn industry or lead a life of illegal substances and fast-paced raving night and day.

You see it everyday how young, fame-hungry people make spontaneous decisions in life and the next moment they're harassed, bullied or even blacklisted in the industry, therefore, their careers are over before they've even begun.

I didn't need that to happen to anyone who I had signed. I may only be 5 years older than Dana but I made sure that I was all clued up before I started Elite with my brother. I knew what would damage her and what would make her blossom.

"I haven't even told you what they're offering."

"So, you want to risk Dana's progress and image because of a few extra bucks? I've seen the house you live in Laurence. You're far from desperate." I scoffed. There was wanting to be secure in life and then there was pure greed. This man had better come correctly in his response. It was too early in the morning for this kind of nonsense.

"It's not risking anything. I can even make it clear that she won't be doing anything promiscuous." I removed the phone from my ear and just looked at it.

No promiscuity?

'Happy Endings' magazine?

The logo on the cover has more breasts and balls that five ladyboys. The least phallic thing I've seen them do is have a girl sit on a cow naked, drinking milk. I don't know if the cow had brown stains on it on purpose or if the model had anything to do with it.

"Laurence, does Dana feel comfortable with this or are you making decisions for her?" I asked seriously. I didn't want anyone associated with my livelihood to feel as though they were an object, a piece of ass. There was more to models than a bit of eye candy, although, there were some 'A-List' influencers who were basically being pimped out. Not mentioning any names.

Well, there's ...

I said mentioning no names.

My bad.

"I haven't told her yet."

"Pause. Laurence do not sign anything. I will see you in the office with Dana next week." I hung up not waiting for a response.

I started to regret assigning him as Dana's manager. I might have to take over his position and make her a priority just as I had been doing with Ace. However, now with Ace, I barely needed to be as hands on with his career like in the beginning. There was other small endorsements that he had undergone and I had absolutely no part in it whatsoever. No meetings. Nothing.

However, there was always a bank transfer from Ace with my usual percentage at the end of every month. I had argued with him many times that he had earned it all without my help and that he shouldn't be giving me anything. I was ignored many times in return so I just accepted it.

I had worked hard and networked consistently in order for Ace to land this huge endorsement deal, which was occurring right now. He deserved this plus more.
