"What does it say?" I ask, practically shaking.
"It says that the person responsible for the crash is the one guy who ran the light."
"Are you being serious or just kidding me to make me feel better?" I say, the lump disappearing a little.
"Look for yourself, see it says it right here."
I read and indeed it does say that the mad who rant the light is responsible.
"Oh my god, that brings a lot of weight off my shoulders," I sigh, letting out a breath I didn't even realize I was holding in.
"I'm sure it does."
There is a knock on my door and the person does not even wait for me to let them in to barge in.
"Come quick, you have to see this," Brandon says, out of breath.
"What is it?" Jen says, looking at me.
"Your on the news Ell, its incredible. You have to see it," He says.
"Okay," I say, following him.
I look at the screen and immediately see what it is about. It is about that girl at the supermarket whom I gave the money to. She is on there as well as the man in line and the older lady who I held the bakery door open for.
"Yeah, I was struggling to get my doughnut out of the door. It kept closing on me, and the nice young lady came and held it open for me. It was so darling, especially for a young lady of her age," The older woman says.
"I was in front of her in the checkout. I accidentally dropped a larger bill of money and she spotted it and handed it to me. Something any other teen might have kept for themselves. Then, when I offered it to her, she refused and donated it to charity," The man says.
"I'm probably going to start crying when I tell this," The young lady from the checkout says. " Anyways, I was doing my shift. It was like any normal shift, but this young lady happened to come and she noticed I looked tired. When I told her what my situation was, she graciously gave me the money to help get living accommodations for me and my two children. This teenager is blessed. We are all blessed to have such a caring young lady in the world."
I tear up at all the nice things they are saying.
"Wow, I'm so proud of you Ell," Brandon says, hugging me.
"Yeah, I probably would not have done any of that," Jen says, looking sheepish.
"Thanks you guys, this means a lot," I sigh, wiping an escaped tear. My crying was like showing how much I have overcome. I seriously have a lot on my shoulders right now and the news cast really helped it.
I it and stare at the screen. Waiting for something to happen. I sigh and eventually Jen and I go back into my room to continue stuffing our face with junk food.
