"Nope, not doing this right now"
I continued my descent down the stairs speeding up the pace. But as usual Jeremy had other ideas.
"I think now is a good as a time as ever" I felt the tug on the back of my top.
"Jeremy, I'm not doing this, so stop! I'm done!"
He dropped his arm, and just starred at me in shock. Finally realising that I can't do this anymore, that I am over the heartbreak that is always around me when he is there.
"Just leave me alone okay, I don't.... I can't do this anymore" promptly turning around I walked into the kitchen and straight into Adam.
"Al... Hey, I was wondering if.."
He didn't even get that far because I grabbed him and smashed my lips on his. I heard something drop and then foot steps leaving the room. Mission accomplished. I pulled away and smiled at Adam.
"I'm sorry you where saying?"

"So you haven't spoken to him since?"
I shook my head in response to Cam's question.
I worked at the bar with Cam, we were both waitresses and had grown close over the last few weeks, and I was currently filling her in on what happened last weekend.
"And I don't plan on it either, like I said, I'm done"
"Al, surely you don't mean that, it's Jeremy for Christs sake you guys have been besties since the beginning of time" she turned from where she was wiping down a table and gave me a knowing look.
Unfortunately she had seen me and Jer at our best and our worst. Last night when all the boys came in she was right next to me, noticing the undeniable tension between the two of us. And the apologetic but stubborn looks that we shared.
"I do Cam, I'm sick of him telling what he wants me to do but not having the label to do it" I let out a sigh and sat down on the bar.
Cam gave me a look and was about to say something when someone let out a not-so-subtle cough. Turning around I came face to face with someone that I really didn't want hearing that conversation.
"Adam.... hey...." I'm sure that my voice was off as I said greeted him, not knowing exactly what he heard.
"Hey sweetpea, am I interrupting something? I thought maybe we can grab a bite to eat since you're going to be on your lunch break soon?" he gave me a cute little smile to top it off letting me know that he didn't hear any or much of the conversation that Cam and I were having as he came in.
"Well, I guess you can take her, but only if you bring me a burger back" Cam blew me a kiss and walked out the back.
"You got it bub! I'll see you in an hour"
"So, burger shack?" Adam suggested and with my nod, grabbed my hand and tugging me along with him.
"So what were you and Cam talking about when I came in?" he gave me a questioning look and encouraging smile.
