Chapter 6: And You Call Yourself A Bestfriend.

Thalia's POV

I can't believe this!

Yesterday when class was over, Chad and Avril went home together.
I was supposed to drive Avril home but she said maybe some other time.

And just this morning in my History class, Avril and Chad sat together.

"Liaaaa!" a familiar voice called out. "Oh, hey." I greeted Brian who was panting from running. "What's up?"

"Can we have lunch together? I have something important to discuss." He sound so serious which made me creep out alittle. Brian does not act like this.

"It's about Chad." Brian sat down besides me. "He's really creeping me out." I took a bite of my waffle and sighed. Knowing the reason why, I still asked"why?". I'm pretty sure it's about Avril.

"He keeps on hanging out with that b--" I cut him off. I swear, why does he keep on calling Avril the B word.

"Can you stop calling Avril a female dog?" I took a deep breath whilst I saw Chad chatting with Rach, Jaden and Mike.

Chad was wearing a plain white V neck shirt with his hoodie and jeans. He looked hot. In fact, he always looked hot in whatever he wears. Snap it out Thalia.

"Yo," Brian waved a hand infront of my face, making me wake up from whatever dream I was dreaming. "You done staring at Chad? Geez Lia. Stop drooling, gross!" I glared at him. "I wasn't drooling Brian."

I stood up, got my fresh milk and walked out of the cafeteria.

"Wait up, Lia!" Brian ran after me. "What're we gonna do with those two?"

"What do you mean we?" I stoop up infront of Brian, pinching both of his cheeks and continued, "there's no we Brian, if you want to break up their friendship, don't drag me to join in."

Brian gave a smirk.

This guy has some serious issues. Why did he smirk?

"Do you really think that they'll stay like that?" I paced back and forth. I didn't like what this guy just said. "Their friendship will soon grow and develop into something else, my friend." I cocked a brow at him whilst he placed his hand around my shoulders. "We might not know that tonight, they'll make a move." Okay, this guy is crazy.

I jumped out of his touch and faced him. "Whatever you are thinking is not gonna happen!" I couldn't help it but yell infront of him. I think I yelled too loud because people were staring at us. Avril was coming in our direction with a worry across her face.

"Thalia?" She held my arm and pushed me away from Brian. He stared at Avril, rolled his eyes at her and walked away.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" She really seem to worry about me. "No, he didn't. He's pretty harmless." I managed to reply back but didn't look at her. I didn't know what I was feeling. Whenever I see Avril, I just didn't felt like talking to her. It might be unfair for her part because she was still being kind to me and I was being a jerk to her.

"Lia, Chads going to give me a ride home." damn.

I faced Avril, she was like a clown. This huge grin on her face. She looked so happy. Too happy.

No no. I wasn't going to let this happen! I gotta do something. Think Lia, THINK.

I grabbed Avrils arm and ran to my car. I quickly tug her inside the passengers seat and lock her in.

"The hell Lia!? I told you Chad is-", Avril was shouting. She tried to go out but I held her.

"What is he to you Avril!?" Avril calmed down and faced me. She looked shocked. "Why do you keep on ditching me, your bestfriend, and hang out with Chad, a random guy you just met a day ago, instead!!!??" I was furious. I finally told her what I wanted to tell her.

"Lia.... I'm sorry if I kept on ditching you. I just couldn't say no to Chad... I... I like him, Lia..." She got her phone out of her bag. "But if you want to drive me home, let me text Chad first, okay?"

What the heck? She HAS the number of Chad! They just met yesterday for Petes sake! Me and Chad met like a week ago, but I still dont have his number. Wow. Just Wow.

I was furious, really. I was filled with anger and jealousy. I wasn't myself when I shouted to Avril to get out of my car. She got teary eyed and she said she was sorry.

It might be too OA for me to do this but thinking of the fact that my bff since birth is ditching me because of a certain guy; which was the same exact guy whom I love; is very disappointing.

Avril got out of my car and without looking back at her, I drove out of the school, crying.
