Thalia's POV:
I woke up the next morning alone in my temporary room. The view outside the window was refreshing. Leaves, wet from the storm last night and the birds chirping in harmony.
I could get used to this scenery every once in awhile.
Avril came inside the room with a massive grin on her face. Something is up, I can smell it.
"What's up?" I asked her with a smirk on my face. She went thrilled all of a sudden. She jumped on me in bed and I heaved a loud "umph" when she hit her elbow on my stomach. Man what a lot of energy she has.
"THALIA KRIS I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO TELL YOUUUUUU~~" Avril sang it on a weird way and pulled me up with her. "ME AND CHAD ARE TOGETHER!!!!" She danced all around the room afterwards.
My heart broke into pieces. I. Am. Broken.
"Lia? Why dont you seem to be happy?" Avril suddenly lost all the excitement on her face and was replaced by confusion.
"What? Me? Not happy? Puhlease Avril, I'm happy for both of you!!! Congratulations!" I sat up and gave Avril a big hug. She seem to buy it since she went back to her ethusiastic self again.
I drove me and Avril to school. While driving, she wouldn't shut up on what Chad and her will do today. And I really wasn't listening to her. I kept my eyes focused on the road and I made my ears listen to noises made by people outside the streets.
---
"Okay! Turn your papers and let the test begin." Mr Randolf instructed whilst pressing the start button on his timer.
Gooooosh! Math exam! Crap! I totally forgot about this. After all what happened this weekend I forgot about all about my studies. But i'm not gonna fail this, I doubt that.
I was focusing on my paper when suddenly a crampled paper, which I think was being kicked, hit my right foot. I slowly got the paper and opened it.
"Must remember what I saw at Mr Randolf's answer sheet. #1 answer is. 1.) 8¹ⁿ = 6½ π(4ⁿ ÷9⅞%)."
What the super hot fudge? I looked back and I saw Isabela Ferrit, the mean girl, laughing secretly and raised a finger on me.
"Ms Reign? Whats that paper you're holding?" Mr Randolf came to my direction glaring at me like I killed his pet rat or something.
"This? Uh.. Umm..." I could barely speak. Everybody's eyes were on me. Also Chad's and Brian's. Crap, Lia!
Mr Randolf grabbed the paper out of my hands and with wide eyes, he shouted at me infront of the class. "In my office! Now." Have I told you before that Mr Randolf, aside from being a terrible Math teacher, is the secretary of the dean. I'm a dead cow after this. Ugh.
---
"It wasn't me who wrote that, I swear I just saw it came rumbling down my foot." I briefly explained to him.
"I smell a lie, Ms Reign." Mr Randolf stood up and hushed me. "You are going to fail in my subject."
"But Mr Randolf! I didn't do it! I would never snuck off in your office!" I stood up too, havibg the confidence to talk back.
"That's right Mr Randolf," a very familiar voice spoke up behind me.
"Mr Grimes and Ms Ferrit, what are you both doing here?" Grimes? Brian is here?
I turned around and saw Isabela and Brian standing. Why were they here?
"Isa, go on. Tell him." Brian gave a small push to Isabella trying to make her say something.
"I'm the one who.... rolled the paper down to Thalias place, Mr Randolf." Isabela said with a tiny voice but was loud enough to let us hear.
"Mr Grimes, Ms Reign. Please step out of my room." Mr Randolf quickly respond. I and Brian walked out of the room.
"Wow. How did you...?" I faced at Brian and raised a brow to him.
"Your welcome." He smiled at me causing me to blush again. Damn, why does he keep on doing this!
"You didn't answer my question, Brian."
"Okay, okay. I saw Isabela raise a finger and laughed at you back then. I just knew something was up." He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him. "I would never let you be in trouble, babe."
Aahhhhhhhhh pulse throbbing, heart raising, sweat over load scene much!
I quickly pulled him away before I would be drooling already. "I'm hungry. Come on, lets grab lunch." I walked away and he chased after me chuckling over what happened.
---
Its already dismissal time and I saw Avril and Chad on the schools benches, doing these smooches and hugs and oh my god its so gross. I went over them.
"Hey guys." I greeted as Avril came to me and gave me a hug.
"Perfect timing Thalia! Can you stay here and company Chad just for awhile? Rach needs me to help her with something." Avril gave Chad an apologizing look and he gave her a sweet, mother freaking smile. "Go on. I'll wait here." Avril went to where Rach was standing waiting for her.
"Congratulations to both of you by the way, Chad." I gave him my sweetest smile and he smiled back. "Thanks, Lia.. So how about you and Brian?" Chad asked all of a sudden.
"Brian? Me? What? We're friends? Yeah." I raised a brow at him while answering to his weird question.
"Really? Just friends? You both are not together?"
"The heck Chad? Why would I even date him? If I was going to, that's the last thing I would write on my bucket list." I rolled my eyes and I gained a laugh from him. Its been a while since we both talked like this. He was always with Avril so I barely had time with him alone.
"I should've just asked you out before." Those words came out of Chads mouth, unexpectedly. What? What did he mean by that?
"What do you mean?" I was puzzled up.
"I liked you, Lia. But I thought you were always attracted by Brian. So I just let it go." Chad nervously laughed after that. "But its not like I dont like Avril now. I love her." He looked at me and pinched my cheeks.
"Ow!" I flinched away from him. "My skin is sensitive yah know.." I pouted and Chad let out a laugh, again.
"That'll be our little secret." Chad ruffled my hair and a minute later Avril, Rach, Nia, Mike and Brian came to us. We plan to hang out and chill at Starbucks and we did.
Phew. What a surprise, Chad Srilagne.
