"Maybe he fought back, he's strong." Violet said to Zoey. The group was once again sitting in the teacher's lounge after LaShawn had gone out. Zoey lost contact with LaShawn over three hours ago. Kennedy sat across from Diesel, not wanting to be near him.

"We haven't heard from him in three hours." Barrett said.

"We can stay here and die from dehydration..." Grover started to stay. "...or we can risk it and go out there and find water and find help."

"With no masks?" Zoey asked.

"We're out of options." Violet said again. Everybody sat in quiet for a few seconds until Diesel raised his hand.

"Who's in?" He asked. Kennedy looked at him. Everybody started to raise their hands.

"I'm in." Violet said.

"We stick together." Natalie said. Diesel then looked at Kennedy who was still looking at him. She nodded her head.

The group then got stuff together and went to the cafeteria where they started to pack things into bags. Kennedy was trying hard not to explode right now being too close to Diesel.

"Guys...I want you to promise me something." Diesel said causing everybody to look at him. "If I turn freak or any of that other shit...you'll end it."

"I'll do it." Barrett said. Diesel chuckled.

"Yeah, you're the one person I know would." Diesel sat down as he continued to pack stuff into his pack. "Seriously, I don't wanna be left out in the open, okay? I want someone to bury me."

"Now that, I'm not doing." Barrett said again. "Too much work."

"Fair enough."

"Okay, when I bury you, what do you want on your grave?" Grover asked.

"Dirt."

"Okay, and on your head stone?"

"I don't know, just the basics. You know when I was born, when I died."

"Barrett, what would you want on your grave?" Grover asked Barrett.

"Dollar sign." Kennedy chimed in. Diesel looked at her. "Anything to do with money."

"No, it wouldn't." Barrett said. "It would be several dollar signs." Everybody started laughing at his response.

Afterwards, Kennedy disappeared from the cafeteria. Diesel was beginning to realize what he said was very harsh to Kennedy. So, he looked everywhere for Kennedy until he saw her sitting on a chair in front of the main doors with an empty chair beside her.

"Waiting for somebody?" Diesel asked as he walked up to Kennedy.

"Nobody in particular." Kennedy replied.

"Can I sit?" Kennedy didn't answer so Diesel just sat down. "Look...I'm sorry for being harsh earlier, but it still would have been nice to know."

"It's not like we could've done anything about it. The baby was already gone, and we had already broken up. I didn't know if we'd ever get back together again." Kennedy sniffled.

"Hey, look at me." Kennedy looked at Diesel. "I can't live without you. I can't survive without you." Kennedy leaned forward and kissed Diesel. Their kiss was then broken by the sound of someone knocking on the door. They separated and turned their heads to see someone in a hazmat suit standing there. The two of them walked towards the door and looked at the man.

"John Collins, rescue and recovery." The man said.

"Did he just say rescue?" Diesel asked. Kennedy nodded her head.
