"She's waking up, sir" a masculine voice stated.

"Noted. I'll be there in a few. Oh and, agent Siden?" An old, gravelly voice spoke.

"Yes?"

"Please refrain from displaying blatant affection towards the target. We both, you more so, know very well that it'll only be an obstruction." was the curt reminder he got through the speaker, the voice emphasizing on the word 'target'. Before the receiver of the warning could even defend for himself, the line clicked dead.

Sighing, he placed the clipboard on the bedside table, where Gracie laid unconscious in a hospital gown.

The brunette was the exact same as when he last saw her. Her physique still lean and fit thanks to all the sports she part takes in. Her hair still unruly and wavy, although he noticed a sharp increase in the amount of white among the hazel brown. Her specs were still somehow remained miraculously unharmed, despite the damage the owner of them had sustained, sitting stationary beside the clipboard.

Her hair was tucked neatly behind her ears, displaying the singular ear piercing on her left ear, similar to the one her observer had on his right ear instead. He couldn't help but felt a sharp stab in his chest as he saw that she had taken off the same plain, silver round earring the two each shared.

Just as he pulled a chair to sit beside her bed, he realized she began to stir, eyelids prying open to reveal her entrancing blue and brown orbs.

Still in a daze from just awakening, she silently groaned, before rubbing her eyes and stretching to clear the fog clouding her mind.

Smiling, the male stood beside, watching whilst waiting for the disoriented female to notice his presence.

Once she did however, all ideas of having a civilized conversation went up in flames.

"What the actual fuck" she mumbled to herself, gaping at him like a fish out of water, suddenly wide awake.

"Hello Grace" he greeted, offering a small smile.

"Oh no, did I inject too much crack again? Hallucinogens? No, I haven't had those for months now" she mumbled to herself, ignoring the presence of her company as a mere figment of her imagination.

"Grace, Grace, I'm not a hallucination. But we're going to have a talk about all these drugs I sincerely hope you're not taking" the male said.

"Oh yeah, I didn't consume them, not at all! I just shoved them up my ass like what a normal person does when they take drugs" she retorted sarcastically, eyeing the male.

He stood well over 174 centimeters, towering the female by a good 15 centimeters or so if they stood side by side. His head was covered with thick locks of combed, black hair which was all his pride and glory.

He wore a pristine white doctor's coat, ironed and crisp. Along with a pair of black linen pants and shiny leather shoes.

His eyes were both a deep shade of alluring blue, his posture voicing his confidence with his open, broad shoulders and straightened back. His nose had a high bridge, matching the female's and his lips were curved into a small smile.

Without warning, the female pounced onto the male she was scrutinizing, throwing a punch at him, which resulted in him falling sideways.
