"Building to your left, rooftop. Go up by the fire stairway" the voice directed through the small device embedded in the male's ear.
"On it" Nigel grunted, swiftly making his way to the balconies, the weight of the sniper rifle on his back strap unsuccessfully weighing him down.
"Say, Nigel. How's Gracie?"
"Why're you askin' Nick?" He snapped, his tone taking on a sharp edge, "I'm currently trying to take down a fucking assassin, hell if I knew."
"Can't blame them for sending you though, you bitter arse, you're the sharpest shooter we have" Nick shrugged, watching his screen.
Once Nigel was on the rooftop, he was instructed again, "6 o'clock. They're gonna shoot, not possible for you to shoot before they do"
"Challenge accepted" he grinned, getting his sniper off his back strap before aligning his left eye to the scope.
"Wait, you're not even going to set up-"
A sharp pitch cut through the air, the originally loud bang subdued in his ears, but he knew he had to act fast before the cops arrive.
As soon as he heard a pained, muffled yell, he smirked, keeping the sniper back onto his back strap before mapping out the shortest route to get to the assassin.
"Of course not" Nick signed in despair, rolling his eyes as he adjusted his headphone and microphone whilst Nigel huffed in triumph.
"Now remember Nigel, aim to subdue, not kill. Don't let him get away this time."
"Subdue? That's what I was supposed to do?" Nigel's face scrunched in confusion, his eyes lingering on the target's wounded, bleeding form.
"Was? Am! Are you telling me that shot wasn't deliberate and just a mere fluke on your part?"
"Spot on. I'm approaching the target," Nigel quickly spoke, before muting his earpiece so that he was the sole receiver between the two.
"Nigel? Nigel! You muted yourself again, didn't you, you bloody prat," fumed the other.
"So, you're still out killing, aren't you? No other hobbies?" Nigel taunted, ignoring the voice in his earpiece muttering angrily as he slowed his pace to a halt, standing a distance away from the bleeding figure.
"Nigel," the wounded male lifted his head up to view his attacker and croaked painfully, "what a lovely fucking surprise."
"What, no 'nice to see you?'"
"Still an ass, I see"
"If you think I'm bad, you wouldn't believe who I met" Nigel chuckled, his mind delving into flashes of the sarcastic brunette.
"Another fucktoy?" Sneered the other, "I've lost count after you turned 19, was she good?"
Upon hearing this, Nigel couldn't resist scowling, "I'm not going to bother explaining Seb, but because of your worthless ass, I'm out here instead of back at O.W.L."
"Shame, because of you, you limp dick, I've just lost a kill," Sebastian hissed, well aware he wouldn't be able to carry out his plans anymore, "you've accomplished your mission, you can fuck off now," clutching his injured arm, he stood up with shaky legs before reaching out to click the earpiece in his own ear, ignoring the toppled sniper that now laid abandoned.
