27: Adventure

"PARANG MEDYO BIGLAAN naman tong vacation natin babe." Sabi ni Lucy sa asawa habang nag-eempake siya ng gamit ng anak nilang si Adalind.

Adalind is now almost 10 months old, she's starting to learn to walk on her own and interact more with people. She's an adorable little angel and Lucy and Ace are just completely obessessed with her. Sino ba naman hindi mahuhumaling sa batang ito lalo na when she is just always so bubbly and smiling all the time.

"That's what I told Mama pero you know her when she puts on the charm, you cannot resist her at all." Ace laughed habang karga nito si Ada. This man is just absolutely the best father Ada can ever wish for. He talks about her like she's the only baby girl in the world.

Lucy's godmother and mother-in-law, Celest, called them last night asking them to follow them sa Batanes because as she said the place was just spectacular and so relaxing. As per usual hindi naman sila makatanggi kasi they have the convenience of everything from travel to accomodations kasi her ninang already set it up. They had a house built in the area a few years back since na in love nga doon sa lugar ang parents ni Ace. Another part of the reason kung bakit gusto ng mga ito na sumunod sila ay dahil andoon daw kasi lahat kaya they wanted the whole family to be there.

"I know right? Ang hirap talaga tanggihan ni Ninang especially when she puts on that sad puppy vibe." Sabay silang napatawa mag-asawa dahil sa thought na iyon. "And besides we can celebrate our anniversary there too!"

"I would want to take you on a date pero palagi tayong may mommy and daddy duties," tumayo si Ace at lumapit sa kanya. "I feel as though I don't have enough time for you since Ada came."

"No kaya, you have more time with me kasi you are always with us. Hindi mo kasi kayang iwan tong baby mo." She teased.

"Not just Ada but both of my babies, if only I can completely work from home I would." And Lucy knew that if Ace had that option he would most probably do just that. Lalong naging caring si Ace noong dumating si Ada, di lang sa anak nila pero sa kanya din. He makes sure na they have quality time as well.

"I know babe, lagi akong kinikilig because of that." She smiled. "You want me to pack your bags din?"

"Oh, I have the best wife ever!" then he kissed her cheek. Sa sipag ni Ace sa trabaho ay yun naman ang itinamad nito sa pag-iimpake. There was even a time when he just completely let go of packing many of his essential things kasi may mabibilhan naman daw siya only to be horrified na walang mall sa pupuntahan nila noon. Good for him ay nag-impake si Lucy ng mga gamit niya just in case. "You have the best mom Ada. We are so lucky."

"I love it kapag binobola mo na ako." Then she proceeded to Ace's closet pulling out stuff that he needs for the trip.

"Uy, di kita binobola! Bakit ko naman bobolahin ang pinakamaganda at pinakaseksing babae sa balat ng lupa." Sabay kindat sa kanya.

"Wag ka nga baka bumigay ako tapos masundan agad si Ada." She laughed kasi nagbibiro siya pero Ace had that naughty look on his face.

"Ada," kinakausap ni Ace ang anak. "Gusto mo na ba ng kapatid?"

"Baliw! Magtigil ka nga. Di ko pa nakakalimutan yung sakit when I delivered Adalind. The pain was beyond me." She sighed remembering that level of pain. She could break her arm and it will still not amount to the pain of giving birth.

"You know naman na if I could take all of it or even half of the pain, I would diba?" binaba ni Ace si Ada sa gitna ng kama at pinalibutan ng madaming unan. "I hated seeing you in that much pain."

"Next time didiinan ko pa yung hawak sa kamay mo," sabi ni Lucy habang nagtitiklop ng mga damit na iniimpake niya. "Nabanggit mo na ba kay Manang Yolly na aalis tayo bukas?"
