28: Finally

"ANONG KULAY NG DRESS NA ISUSUOT MO ATE?" Tanong ni Lucy sa sister-in-law niya na si Aicelle. It's bright and early in the morning at kakatapos lang nilang kumain pero heto sila at nagpapaayos na sa mga dumating na make-up artist. Passion talaga ng ninang niya ang family photos nila.

"Pale yellow ata yun, why?" sagot nito habang namimili ng hairstyle na gagayihin mula sa isang magazine. "Yung sayo?"

"White siya na dress, kinda looks like a simple wedding gown pero ang ganda niya." Nakita niya kagabi yung dress na isusuot niya and she just fell in love with the silk material and the sweetheart cut it had. It's very sexy yet still very appropriate. Besides that, Ace really like it on her too.

"I think Mama is going for the pastel colors this time around. Alam mo naman yun sobrag hilig sa mga family shoots natin na ganito." Natawa na lang ito. She's been in it thrice already in the nine years that she's been a Cojuangco. Last year buntis siya kaya medyo subtle lang ang family shoot nila so as not to stress her out that much.

"I like pastels, ang ganda nung colors kasi ang lamig lang sa mata."

"Oh yeah, diba last year you wanted the entourage to wear pastel sa wedding mo?" It's been a while since Ace and her talked about their second wedding. Masyado pa kasi silang busy sa lahat ng ginawa nila and being parents totally takes all your time kasi siyempre Ada is still just 10 months old. "Matutuloy pa ba yun? Your wedding coordinator is doing well na din naman na diba?"

"Yes she is, thankfully. We haven't really talked a lot since wala pa kami uling date na naise-set ni Ace. We're just devoting our time kay Ada ngayon kasi baby pa siya and she needs so much attention pa na hindi talaga kami makapagplano ng matino. Besides, kasal naman na kami." She smiled although gusto niyang ikasal uli ay hindi nila totally maplano. Maybe for their 10th year anniversary.

"Anong pinag-uusapan niyo mga ate?" pumasok naman sa kwarto si Caila with her light pink dress na below the knee lang.

"Your Ate Lucy's would be wedding." Sagot naman ni Aicelle.

"Oh yeah, napag-usapan na ba ninyo ni Kuya when that'll be?" mukhang excited ito.

"No definite date, malay ninyo sa 10th year namin ng Kuya niyo." She smiled with that thought. Being married to Ace again would be the cherry on top of their relationship.

"Sayang, this anniversary would have been great since 9th year niyo and it's a lucky number." Oo nga pala at Chinese ang mga ito at may mga pamahiin talaga regarding auspicious dates. For them kasi 9 is a very lucky number because it is the highest single digit number and it represents completeness and eternity.

"Di bale, no matter what date or what year it'll still be lucky lalo na at kasama ko si Ace." Hindi na niya napigilan na maging cheesy all of a sudden. Love makes you do things you never thought you'll do or be.

"Nakakapressure naman kayo! Kailangan ko ata talagang makahanap na ng super sweet na guy katulad ni Kuya or ni Kuya Xander. I'm the next in line sa kasal-kasal na yan." Caila laughed.

"Nako, bata ka pa Caila. Lagot ka kay Kuya if he hears na naghahanap ka na ng boyfriend much more ng asawa." Pagalit dito ni Aicelle.

"Si ate talaga oh, ang KJ mo!"

When they finished ay nauna na ang mga in-laws niya sa Marlboro hills kung saan gagawin ang una nilang photoshoot. Hindi na sila nahintay ng mga ito kaya sila na lang ni Ace ang huling umalis sa bahay. Her mother in law insisted na sila na ang magdala kay Ada so that Ace and her can have some quiet time sa byahe. Which they did kasi ang ganda-ganda ng byahe nila papunta sa Marlboro Hills, the place was so breathtaking na kahit na may kaunting hike pataas sa spot ng gusto nila ay worth it kasi every shot was picture perfect.
