Chapter 28: Hope Is The State Of Harmony

I walked home, still curious about that boy. I wondered many things, such as "why did he get scared at the fact that I called out Ryota?" And "he looked like Mitari, but he seems too skinny and shy.."

'That was definitely a despair induced encounter...'

The next day, all of us were in class, watching Gundham try to do meditation of some sort with a huge bear. How he was able to bring a bear into the school, I still don't know.
We were all staring with questionable faces as Gundham and the bear proceeded to growl back and forth to each other, Gundham sitting in front and the bear at the back. Everything Gundham did the bear did as well.

"The dude brought a bear in?!" Kaz questioned. Sonia somewhat blushed at Gundham's graceful jutsus and walked forward saying, "I think it's adorable!"
Kazuichi, being the jealous pest that he is, said to Sonia with a worried tone, "don't go tryna pet it or anything..."

Gundham then talked about how the bear would never feed off of pure souls, only the evil ones. Sonia got even closer to the bear, trying to forget the flirtatious mop that was Kazuichi.

I was sitting beside Mahiru, her being 50/50 on the bear situation.
"M, are you okay? You're sweating..." I asked, somewhat worried. She replied "I'm still not sure as to why there's a bear in the classroom.."
we then heard a bit of a 'thud' as we both turned our heads towards the empty desk beside Mahiru. It was Hiyoko, putting down a beautiful flower. She was smiling, and seemed to have a lighter mood.
"That's a good spot for it!" She cheered.

I chuckled. "What's gotten you in a good mood? Is it a full moon?"
"Wow cold!" She sneered. She then continued, "it's in memory of poor dead Komaeda!" Her smile turned to a frown, and her hands dropped to her side.
Mahiru stuttered at Hiyoko's words, meanwhile I just gave Hiyoko a "how dumb are you" face.

Mahiru then yelled, "Stop saying he's dead! He's only was given a suspension!"
Akane and Nekomaru joined into our conversation, with Nekomaru saying "eh true enough, but no one's been able to get a hold of him."
Akane added "whatta play. The least he could do was call us."

I just stayed silent, knowing that I was the only one who knew of his true disappearance, well to an extent. Of course, I still didn't know when he went, but I did find out that he's nowhere near here.

'I just hope that his luck got him somewhere good, and not six feet under..'

I shook my head at the thought and began to watch Gundham and his bear again, trying to be oblivious to my thoughts.

"Hold on, don't tell me the Klutz is a no-show!" Hiyoko sneered. Fuyuhiko's, Hiyoko, Ibuki And I were around Mikan's desk, wondering where she could be.

"Ryota isn't here either...what's that about?" I wondered.

Ibuki saluted and said "If you're looking for Mikan she totally peaced out with Ryota earlier."

"Interesting..." I mumbled to myself. Fuyuhiko's must have heard me, since he mentioned "Yeah but don't you think it's kinda weird, them hanging out all the time?"

Kazuichi, blushing and somewhat sweated, said "what if at this moment, the two of 'em...are getting extra curricular~"
Then at that moment Teruteru slid beside Kaz with a donut and a banana.

"Oh my god no.." I said in a low voice as I hid my face and slid deeper in my seat. Fuyuhiko chuckled at my reaction and said "what? Were you not expecting this?"

"I've only been here for half a year and I already wanna strangle them, props to you for not doing it already.."

Kazuichi took the donut as Teruteru slowly brought the banana closer, saying "ohhhhh, somewhere within the academy's walls, Tsumiki's delectable donut will face-the manly menstruation of Mitari-oh yeeee-"
