~Allison's POV~
Derek, Emily and I arrive back at the packhouse a short while after the rogue incident. We were lucky there weren't any police officers around considering Der was going dangerously over the speed limit. We were surprised to see that the rogues didn't follow us, although we know it's only a matter of time before something bad happens.
As Derek and Emily make their way up the path to the front doors, I take a moment to truly appreciate the house I know call home. It's a very large building, looking like a gigantic log cabin. There's a small flower bed just to the right of the house, filled with daisies, roses, tulips and more. The forest has an intoxicating woodsy scent and the concoction of the flower smells makes my head spin. The sun is shining brightly and I can hear a few birds chirping from within the forest.
I feel a hand bump my hip and see Derek guiding me towards the door, Emily holding his other hand.
The moment Derek grasps the handle of the doorknob, the door bursts open so fast that it creates a swift wind. A body shoots out of it and I feel myself being tugged inside, arms wrapping around me. I am hit with a sickly sweet smell and I breathe in deeply, feeling the tingles where my skin touches Dylan's.
Unaware voices are heard from all around the house but I'm only listening to the one that belongs to my very dramatic brother.
"Dylan, it's not like we died! It could be worse! We could have been ripped apart limb by limb and thrown into a big pit of fire with a savage bear-" Dylan's arms tighten around me and I let out a squeal, not being able to breathe. "-But we weren't! So everything is cool. Right?"
I watch as Dylan's nostrils flare. "Yes, of course. Everything's cool."
Derek relaxes before tensing right back up when Dylan yells, "NO! Everything is not cool! You could have killed Alice! You could have killed all three of you!"
"But-" Emily tries.
Dylan sets his chin on my head, and deeply sighs. I can feel him shaking with anger and I know he's about to have a fit so I wrap my arms around his waist. He immediately stops shaking as badly and I can hear his heartbeat slowing going back to normal.
"Look, Dylan, we're sorry." Emily says, "We didn't know that the rogues would find us, and we got out of there as soon as we realized they did. No one got hurt, it was just so sudden."
"No one got hurt?" Dylan asks. I feel and hear his heartbeat picking right up again. "It was so sudden? So, you think it wasn't sudden when Natalie was killed? You think she knew they were there but she decided to stick around, to not scream for help? No one is to leave town until my father has taken care of the rogues. How am I supposed to be Alpha one day when I can't even watch out for three Were's?"
Derek nods, glances towards me quickly, then grabs Emily's hand and goes upstairs. Dylan and I stay where we are, arms wrapped around each other, until Dylan has calmed down. Even after I'm positive that he's back to normal, he doesn't move.
"Awe! Now, how cute is that, huh? The future Alpha and the future Luna cuddling in the hallway." Max's teasing voice echos throughout the comfortable silence.
Future Luna. I'm going to be the future Luna.
Max pinches my cheeks, his classic smirk in place. "Yes you are, little Ally."
"Ally?" Dylan asks. Max nods his head, crossing his arms.
"Ashton calls her 'Wonderland,' why can't I call her 'Ally?'" Max comments.
"Because she doesn't like being called that." Dylan says through clenched teeth.
Max raises his eyebrows slyly. His smirk seems to get wider when he turns his mischievous gaze on me. "Do you mind if I call you that?"
