Allison's POV

A man's soft and familiar voice breaks through my mind.

"Oh Alice,"  he says, "I told you to stay inside."

I feel strong arms pulling me to a body. I feel like I just ran five back-to-back marathons. My eyelids are too heavy to open. I have a sudden urge, and I sniff the chest of the man and my nostrils flare when I catch the scent of Derek. How do I even know what Derek's scent is?

I am carried a while, and I zone in and out of consciousness on the way. I am awoken once again when I feel my brother walk higher, up stairs I suppose. I shift as he reaches out an arm. He leans against a surface that I figure is a door. I prepare my sensitive ears for the worst. Instead, he quietly knocks on the door, and I wonder if he made the noise soft on purpose. I vote against it, he has no idea that my senses are acting up.

The door is opened and I feel the temperature shift as he walks into the unknown place.

"Oh my, this must be Allison." A new voice says. This one I cannot identify, but for some reason, something deep inside me tells me it is not human. I must still be dreaming, I decide. Since I had a dream I turned into a wolf.

Derek continues walking for a bit, not speaking. I am lowered on something soft and comfy and I immediately cuddle in.

"No,no,no Alice. You need to wake up. We have a lot to talk about, and I'm sorry I left it for this long." Derek says. I huff but slowly open my eyes, surprised to see the room lit up only by the light of the windows. I notice that the sun is just starting to set.

"How long was I asleep for?" I try to say, but instead I hear, "Rwarwa murarw." I jump up immediately. OH NO! I gaze down at my body, seeing it lay on top of a red sofa. I see my blonde fur, with four long legs. I look into the eyes of my brother, no doubt showing the fear that lies deep inside me.

I start panicking and I fly off the couch, into a side table, the lamp and book that were currently residing there are flown across the room. My nails stick into the carpet below my paws and I rip the rug apart, my nails getting stuck here and there. I hear yelling, followed by footsteps bounding towards me.

I hear, "Alice! Allison! Alice Marie Bell! ALLLICCCEEE! LISTEN TO ME! Calm down!" But the voice sounds as though it is coming from inside my head. That alone is enough to send me into another crazed frenzy.

I growl a warning when a strange man, probably in his late thirties, steps forward with his arms open. He immediately stops, he then opens his mouth and let's out a fierce growl that sends me into a submission position. I try to get up, but something in my mind tells me to stay where I am.

"You see Derek? This would be much easier if you had already told the poor girl what she was." The man says.

"But Alpha-"

"No buts." The 'Alpha' says with a tone that suggests Derek better not question him again. The man turns towards me and gives me a small smile. "Alice, dear, do you know where you are? I'm sure you are scared but you need to stay calm." Me? Scared? That must be the understatement of the century.

I look around, noticing the walls are a beige color, filled top to bottom with pictures of children, teens, adults, and seniors. They all look happy, and no one is frowning the least. There are four couches in the large room, I suppose is the living room. The couches are all a nice red colour, and I notice at least half of them have been scratched. The place looks like a tornado went through. I gaze down at my paws, seeing the razor sharp nails protruding out.

"Allison, my name is Brad Night. I am the Alpha of the Night pack." The man says. I get a better look at Brad, he is a spitting image to Carson, the man I met-when exactly was that? Well, at the party. Brad is obviously Carson & Max's father. He has short cut, black hair and brown eyes. All this aside, what does he mean by Alpha? Or pack?
