~RECAP~

My jaw is surely on the floor by this point. "You're saying I- I have a.."

"A Gift, yes." Dylan nods, smiling at me. "I'm not sure what it is, maybe you can read minds that are blocked."

I shake my head, "No, I can't do that, I've tried it before and it didn't work, but I don't know... maybe I have to be almost asleep for it to work since that's the only time something happens-"

"Attack on three. One-"

My eyes widen. Dylan and I stare at each other, both of our expressions of complete disbelief. "Please tell me you heard that too."

"Two-"

Dylan nods, pulling me up with him swiftly, I hear his voice enter my head as well as everyone's in the packhouse, demanding something about running to a safe room, but I focus on the current voice I can hear behind everyone else's panicked screams and shouts.

"Three."

~Allison's POV~

Screams, panic, madness. Weres running everywhere. Dylan yells for everyone to go downstairs into the safe rooms. Ash sprints past me, grabbing my hand as he goes.

"Where is everyone?" He asks as we run out the door to the yard where rogues are attacking. Max and Derek are fighting off a group large group, I see Hilary cowered under a smaller wolf, a female. I sprint, grabbing the wolf around the waist and hauling it off Hilary, her muzzle bleeding. Hilary and I meet glances for a moment, before she gets up at runs after the rogue.

"Don't let them into the house." Dylan commands everyone.

Ash grabs my hand again, whipping his head all around. "Where's Piper?"

I feel panic making its way into my chest and tightening it, watching in horror as a teenage boy is being mauled by two rogues at once. I run towards him, Dylan at the same time, and we fight off the savage rogues.

"Ash take him inside!" Dylan yells. Ash glances at me then quickly grabs the boy and wraps his arm around his shoulders. "It's Dux, he's here."

"Are you sure?"

Dylan grabs my hand. "Positive. You have a Gift, Alice. You might be able to read their minds, figure out what's happening and where Dux is."

"I-I don't know how!" I say desperately. Dylan looks around with a pained expression on his face, he sighs and drags me inside. Once we've dodged the fighters we meet in the house.

"Calm down." Dylan says.

I furrow my eyebrows. "Why?"

"You were almost asleep when you heard the voices. You need to calm yourself down if you're going to hear them." Dylan holds my hands and rests his forehead on mine. "Calm yourself."

I try to control my breathing, focusing on only that. My heartbeat begins to slow.

"Look for-"

BAM! The window shatters next to us, covering us with glass. Dylan and I curse and run outside to take care of the problem. I can't help but hit the rogue extra hard, knowing I almost heard what I was supposed to.

Dylan and I look around, I see something I've never seen before. Bodies, lying on the ground. One a teenage girl, one an old man. What do these rogues want? That man and girl had a mate, they had a life! Rage seeps through my pores and I feel myself shaking, just as hard as Dylan is.

"This isn't just any attack, they're looking for something." Dylan says.

I glance around, wildly. Is Derek ok? Ash? Max, Emily and Piper? Did Hilary ever take down that wolf, and where is she now?
