~Dylan's POV~
I walk in my forest, keeping an eye out for the damn rogues. If we don't do something about them soon, they will take over our land. That is not going to happen. The little human construction people have done a great job of rebuilding our pack house, replacing everything will be the problem. We are hoping to have everyone moved in after a few days, we need to set up guards from now on until we deal with the rogues.
Everyone is getting irritable, not being able to let their wolves out for a nice long run. They miss the sun, and the fresh air that I am now greedily breathing.
Alice has been sleeping for a few days, I am in her room so often, just holding her hand that Emily has had to literally push me away from her just so I could eat. I can't help it, what if something happens, if she wakes up and I'm not there. Hilary seems much too glad that I'm in their room, she always seems to find ways for me to speak to her. I don't blame her, I did used to love being around her but now that I've met Alice- I just can't stand her.
I make my way back in the Cellar, into Alice, Emily, and Hilary's room. Hilary is surprisingly no where to be seen, as well as Emily. Ashton is standing over Alice's body, his hand on her forehead. He looks up with worry in his eyes when he hears me walk in.
"How long is she supposed to be asleep for?"
I shrug, "She's supposed to wake up on her own. Why?"
"Come feel her head."
I make my way to Alice, smiling softly at how cute she looks with her purple lips slightly pouted. Her- purple-? I feel her head, her skin is ice cold despite the blankets draped over her. I grab Emily and Hilary's blankets from their bed and wrap her up in them. I quickly slip into her bed, positioning her body on my chest, cradling her ice cold body, trying to heat her.
"What happened?" I demand. "Why is she so cold?"
"How am I supposed to know? You're her mate! How could you let this happen?" Ashton yells, angrily. My wolf growls inside of my head, how dare a little Omega speak to his future Alpha like that!
"I was only gone for a few minutes! She was fine before!" I grind out through clenched teeth. Ashton backs off, bowing his head in submission. I grab her hand, trying to warm her fingers. "I don't understand." I mumble.
Dad, I need you now. Something is wrong with Alice. Bring Doc! I mindlink.
Oh god. What if she never wakes up? What if she sleeps the rest of her life away? What if I never see those piercing green eyes again? What if she will never be my Luna? What if she-
"Dylan! Relax!" A voice breaks through my rant.
Carson, Doc and my father burst through the door, all looking distraught.
"We have to do something! Feel her, she's freezing! What's happening to her?" I demand.
Doc moves over to Alice, taking her hand in his. I let out a warning growl which just causes Ashton to hit me over the head. Now is sooo not the time! He mindlinks.
"What did you give her?" Dad asks.
I frown, "What do you mean? I gave her the sleeping pill, that's what we agreed on."
"How long has she been asleep?"
"A few days? I was expecting her to wake up today."
"How long is a few days?" Carson demands.
"I don't know- maybe four/five days?"
"FOUR OR FIVE?" I wince at my father's Alpha voice. "SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO SLEEP FOR TWO DAYS!"
