I roll over groaning turning it off. I scroll through my phone liking things etc. After about 10 minutes I get dressed and do my hair and makeup.

I walk down to the kitchen and my mom is at the table on her phone with a cup of coffee sitting next to her.

"good morning" I say walking to a cabinet.

"good morning sweetie" she says looking up from her phone. I grab a bowl and pour cereal in it. After about 5 minutes I finish putting the bowl in the dish washer.

"i'm gonna walk home with the girls today" I say smiling at my mom.

"alright have a good first day back!" she says as I grab my backpack walking out the door. I only lived about 5 minutes from the school so I would walk. Great let's go get the first day back over with.

I walk into school as two people come up on each side of me.

"hey!" Piper and Melody say as so laugh.

"sup guys" They say bringing me over to our usual spot.

"We saw some cute guys" They smirk

"oh my lord" I laugh "no ones cute here"

"take that back! these ones are new" Piper says as I laugh.

"ok well give me your schedule I wanna see what classes we all have"

They hand me them and examine it.

"Ok so first I have with Piper, 2nd Piper and Melody, 3rd no one, 4th Melody, Lunch, 5th no one, 6th Piper and Melody" I say setting my schedule back down.

"that's pretty good" they say as the bell rings.

"alright i'll see you guys in 2nd" Melody says as she turns around and walks the other way to he class. As me and Piper go to ours.

We walk in and sit in the back. I sit against the wall and she sits on my left.

"I hope the boys are in our class" she whispers as I set my book bag to the side of me.

Just then a curly headed boy sat in front of me. My eyes widen, he was one of the new kids.

"dibs!" I whisper yell to Piper. I tap his shoulder and he turns around.

"are you new?" I ask with a smile.

"uh yeah, me and a few of my friends" he said nervously.

"well I'm Hazel" I smile resting my head in my hand as he smiles back.

"I'm jack"

"can I see your schedule?" I ask holding my other hand out.

"oh sure" He says digging in his backpack for it. Soon enough he pulls it out and hands it to me. I look over it.

"1st, 3rd and 6th" I smile.

"cool" He says as the teacher has everyone become silent. Thank got he blocked the teachers view of me, I took the advantage and pulled out my phone texting Piper.

She looks around making sure no one is looking and texts back.

Piper- it's fine he said there's more 😂

School finally ends and me and the girls start to walk to the dock. We hang out there for a little and end up going home.

-few days later-

I was unlocking my locker to get my books when someone leans up against the one next to me.

"Hey" I look over and see Jack smiling causing me to smile.

"hey" I say opening my locker.

"whatcha doing this weekend"

Piper, Melody, and I became good friends with him and his friends.

"uh not really sure" I say grabbing the books I need and shut my locker. I lean up against it to face Jack.

"well when u figure out let me know cause we are going to go to beach just wanted to know if you guys wanted to join"

"uh right I have to go like 3 hours away for something with my mom..." I say looking down at my feet.
