I wake up to my phone ringing and I answer it.

"hello?" I say sleepily rubbing my eyes.

"Hey i can't hang out with you guys today, i'm sorry" I hear Melody say on the other line as I sit up.

"oh..okay" I sigh.

"Hazel i'm sorry we can another day i promise."

"alright, well i gotta go bye" I say ending it before she got a chance to speak.

Today Melody, Piper, and I were gonna go test what the powers meant in the book that our necklaces hold. Piper and I wanted to see if there was a chance of getting our parents back. But apparently has something more important going on.

I get up and change trying to look good incase I ran into someone i know.

I ran down the stairs and my mom was in the living room.

"Mom, I'm going with Melody and Piper at the Marina to hang out" I lie getting her attention from the TV.

"oh okay text me off and on have fun" she says going back to her TV.

"love you" I say shutting the door.

As soon as I walked out the smile I plastered on my face faded. What did Melody have to do that was so much more important? She always tells me where she is going but not today.

I walked to the dock where the boats were parked looking down at my phone.

"Oh. Hazel!" I hear a familiar voice say as I look up from my phone. Jack.

"oh hey Jack" I say putting my phone into my back pocket.

"hey what are you doing here?" He asks smiling as I kept a straight face.

"oh this is were Piper, Melody and I usually hang out, my free place I guess you could call it." I say sitting next to him.

"free place?" I he questions.

"yeah..."

"what. what's wrong?" he asks as I shake my head.

"where's the boys?" I ask changing the subject

"well Zach is playing video games, Daniel is working on some project, Jonah is with Melody, and Corbyn is with-"

"Jonah is with Melody?" I question.

"yeahhh? why?" he asks as I stand up.

"where are they?"

"uhhh cafe" he says confused.

"thanks jack" I say jogging away so he couldn't ask anymore questions.

I went to the cafe and walked in and looked around as my eyes landed on them. Melody's back was facing towards me. I walked to their booth and stood there.

"hey guys! having fun?!" I ask pretend to be happy. When Melody saw me her eyes widened.

"Hazel I-"

"no. I really hope you guys are having fun!" I say still pretending to be happy.

"Hazel! I'm sorry!" Melody says mad. She stands up and grabs my hand pulling me outside.

"why did you have to come in like that?!?" she asks getting mad.

"when we're boys more important than me and Piper!" I ask with my voice cracking some trying not to cry.

"They aren't Hazel!" She says dropping my arm from her hand.

"Really? They aren't?"

"Really."

"Then why did you cancel plans to hang out with one. You knew how much that meant to us."

"Haz-"

"No Melody! You think it's fine because you have everything you could wish for. Your pretty! You have all your family! You could become friends with anyone. But the one thing that doesn't make you all that great. Your selfish. You only care about yourself. As long as your happy everyone is happy. So it doesn't matter."

"I care about you and Piper, Hazel!" She fires back

"do you though?" I ask making a face

"I do! When have I ever canceled. Only this time! I always have to hang out with you guys. I never get time to myself or get to be with anyone else. Never!" she says as I wipe the face I had on as a tear fell.

"We just wanted to find our parents" I say softly running off.

"Hazel!" I hear my name being called from behind me.

I slowly stop running but I continue walking.

"Hazel." I hear as someone walks up next to me as I decide to look over. It was Jack. Oh great.

"Jack" My voice cracked a little. "i don't wanna talk right now" I say walking away. Oh wow i'm a horrible person.
