A Mermaid Tail // Why Don't We Fan Fiction

The coral wraps around my tail. I try to fight it as much as possible but nothing works. Soon enough, from all the fighting and screaming i've done I pass out. I wake up to feel a cool breeze come over me. I sit up coughing up water.

"oh my god. Hazel you scared me!" I hear Piper says as two arms wrap around me.

"I'm sorry" I say as i wipe my mouth.

"what happened?" Melody says sitting next to me.

"I was swimming around near the moon pool clearly" I point around showing that we are in the moon pool. "then there was glowing seaweed and I touched it then it was wrapped around me and i tried to fight and it and then I passed out" I say standing up wiping sand off me.

"damn..." Melody says

"wait. we could ask Lucas. Or maybe the Journal says something about it" Piper says pacing back and forth.

"no Piper. I'll look some other day. I don't feel good I'm staying home tomorrow"

"ok sorry..." she mumbles.

"I just wanna go home" I sigh.

"well we are gonna have to swim. Do you have enough energy?" Melody asks setting her hand on my shoulder.

"i'll make it" I nod.

We all jump in and swim to the dock and go to our houses. Maybe it was ok that I didn't bring my phone. I forgot our necklaces give a sign.

*few minutes/hours before*
~Melody~

We walk into Lucas little lab thing.

"hey girls!" he says looking at something through his microscope.

"hey" me and Piper reply in sync.

"where's Hazel?" he says grabbing a book.

"went for a swim" I reply playing with a strand of my hair.

"you really shouldn't let her go alone"

"i know Lucas. She just wants to be alone" I reply

"alright." he says going back to whatever he was doing.

"Hey Luke" Piper says

"mhm"

"think you could make a potion, drink, type thing where we can go in the water without our tails. I miss those days" She sighs tapping the desk.

"I could." he says opening his book

"so can you?" I say

"yeah. I will. Give me a few days"

"so Saturday?" I ask.

"yup." he replies.

"see you in 3 days!" I say.

"oh. okay bye!" he says as me and Piper walk out.

"this could be our chance to hang out with the boys" I say nudging her some.

"you see how Hazel is...i don't wanna be like that" she looks down. I sigh not knowing what to say. Poor Hazel.

*back to Hazels POV*
I got back home and went up to my room. Ok i did wanna go look in the journal just didn't want them over. I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone.

I grab the journal from under my bed and open it. I flip a few pages and see some animals. Then to the bottom left of a page with sharks along it I see the seaweed.

I read for a while. Welllll I should've seen this before. All it really states is not to touch it. But i'm curious to learn more about this.

I got a text from Jonah as I was sitting in my bed.

Jonah: hey, you and the girls wanna hang out at the beach with us?

Melody: sure, might just me and Piper idk
about Hazel

Jonah: what's up with her lately?

Melody- i don't know

Jonah: alright. Well see you tomorrow

Melody: k bye

time to get that potion
