There was a moment of silence as I wrote something down.
"why did you do it?" I ask leaning back.
"what?" he says reading over some papers.
"why did you....sleep with me" I say hesitating.
"shush!" he whisper yells.
"calm down. You cheated on her so" I say rolling my eyes.
"Hazel!" He whisper yells again.
"do you even love her?" I whisper leaning forward giving up on the work.
"y-yes" he stutters getting akward.
"do you? really?" I ask.
"Hazel..."
"Jack. You don't.....do you?" I ask shocked.
"ok fine. Hazel, I lied to you" the bell then rung. Damn.
I walked out of second period. Suddenly there was a stinging on my arm.
"ow" I mumble scratching it over my sleeve. I then pull it up after it started to hurt me. Soon I saw scales...I ran to the bathroom locking myself in a stall and texted the girls.

Melody- Guys what is this. We need to go talk to Lucas. Come meet me outside of school.

I put my phone away and head out the bathroom sneaking out of school. Don't even ask I don't know how I did it.

we went to Lucas's lab.
"Lucas!" we shout busting in the door.
"girls!" he says pushing up his glasses turning his chair towards us. We quickly show him our infected areas. "what the...." he says confused.
"help...they kinda sting" I say.
"Hazel, yours is worse then ten others what did you do?" he asks holding my arm.
"um....I got caught in kelp the other day..." I say trying to think of something else that could've possibly happened.
"Hazel didn't you say you have that journal thing you found?" he says releasing my arm from his grip.
"yes" I say.
"go get it and come back" he says going back to whatever he was working on.
"alright." I say as me and the girls walk back out the door. ~~~
Me and the girls were walking to the house silently just exhausted from the day after doing nothing, and just confused about the whole situation.
"Hazel?" Piper asks kicking some rocks around on the side walk.
"yeah?" I say watching some birds fly by.
"how did you even get that hickey from Jack..." she asks awkwardly.
"oh i didn't tell you guys" I laugh with a sigh.
"what?!?" Melody says.
"oh. I thought you weren't paying attention" I tell her with a small laugh.
"well...Just tell me!" She laughs.
"....we slept together. happy?" I say kicking stuff omg he sidewalk around.
"...Hazel!" Piper says.
"what?!" I say.
"what about Ella! what if she finds out!" she asks worried. I have to lie to her.
"she won't. Jack and me just won't talk and continue to act normal" I say with a small shrug.
"that will be hard considering he had his-" Melody started.
"SHUT UP!" I interrupt her and she laughs.
"i'm just saying the truth."
"It's awkward enough thank you very much" I say lifting my chin up.
Suddenly my phone starts ringing. I answer it.
"hello?" I say
"Hey. I'm making a thing for you and the girl with your scale infections. Still read about it and let me know. it will be ready tomorrow. Cover it up and wear long sleeves or something" I hear Lucas say on the other line.
"oh ok thanks Lucas, bye." I reply.
"bye." he ends the call and I tell the girls what he said.
"so wanna hang out at my house or go for a swim?" I say with a laugh.
"both!" They say.
"race you to the dock!" I laugh starting to run the other way.
