Nash and I got up early to avoid having to spend "family" time with anyone. I know this was to be a family vacation, but we also wanted to spend some time alone in one of the romantic places in the states.

He packed a bag of spare clothes and another bag of food, just in case we got hungry. We left out of the house, not telling anyone where we were going. That would be our first mistake. The second one gets better.

Let's go back to the fact we didn't tell anyone where we were going. Thinking we would be sly, we also forgot our phones amid our rush.

We walked for a while until we came across a trail.

"What do you think?" He asked me.

"I think we know nothing about Hawaii, and the fact that going on a trail we know nothing about seems like a great idea," I said sarcastically.

"Where's your sense of adventure?" He grinned at me.

"Back home."

"What's the worst that can happen?"

"A bear eats us?"

He gave me a look. "What? It can happen."

"I don't think bears exist in Hawaii," he retorted.

"How do you know? Are you from Hawaii?" He gave me another look. "This is my point exactly."

"Come on, you coward," he said, heading towards the trail.

"We will get eaten by a bear, and it will be all your fault."

I followed Nash quite away. The trail broke off, and we had to decide on a path. We finally decided on one and took it. We came across some wildlife, which seemed harmless. As we walked, we heard a rustling from the bushes. We stopped.

"I think it's a bear," I whispered.

He gave me a look. "It's not a bear."

We heard the rustling again.

"It's a bear."

"It's not a bear!"

The rustling was getting closer. "It is so a bear."

"Will you stop?"

"What? I'm just saying."

We were arguing so much that we weren't paying attention when the thing sprung out at us, causing us to scream and it to squeal. A wild pig charged us, and we turned on our heels and bolted through the greenery and trees.

I didn't know where we were, but I'm sure we're lost. We ran, and the wild pig ran after us.

We finally reached a clearing and a cliff fantastic.

"Jump!" Nash yelled.

"Oh, heck, no! Once was enough!"

"Suit yourself," he said as he took a head start and jumped, plunging into the water below.

I turned to see the wild pig still coming and said, "Jumping sounds like a good idea." I took a few steps back and ran, jumping off the cliff and plunging into the water below.

"Mags!" Nash searched around for me when I didn't resurface. He became frantic until I surfaced a few minutes later. He swam over to me and pulled me to him. "Oh, thanked God," he exclaimed

I wiped the wet hair from my face, along with the water. We looked up. "Do you think it's gone?" I asked him.

"God, I hope so. But at least it wasn't a bear," he smirked, and I splashed him with water. I swam to the bank, and he followed suit. We climbed out of the water, and we were soaking wet, along with our spare clothes and food.
