Dinner nutiness

"Do we have to go?" The boys whined.

"Yes, now get in the car," Nate ordered the five of them, yes, the five of them. Nixon found Nolan, who was trying to find the car. He's miffed that they forgot him. Can you blame him?

Anyway, we all drove to a restaurant, all of us. I'm not sure if it was a good idea to have everyone in the same place, at the same table and in a public place like a restaurant. Pat thought it would help ease the tension, as did Dominique. I think they're crazy.

We all took a seat at the table, looking at the menu when it started. The first shot got fired.

"You know Jonas when I mentioned dinner, I thought it would just be you, the boys and me," Karen said.

Ladies and gentlemen, they have fired the first shot.

"Well, Karen, unfortunately, you didn't mention dinner, Pat and Dominique did. So, can you quit taking credit for an idea that isn't yours?" He asked her.

Shot number two.

"Okay, fine," she said through gritted teeth, "so, Maggie," she zeroed in on me.

I turned to her and asked, "Yes?"

"Please explain to me why you are here when you're not family? When no one else could bring their girlfriends," she said to me with a smile.

Shot number three.

"Well, Karen, if you must know since I live with Pat and Nate, I am part of the family."

Shot number four.

"Interesting, was that before or after you slept with Nash?"

And the final shot happened. After that, it wasn't pretty.

"Karen, is there a reason you are a condescending bitch right now? Considering you trapped my brother into marrying your stupid ass," Cayson snapped.

"Excuse me!"

"Oh, come on, don't play dumb! You're just jealous that no one likes you," exclaimed Cayson.

We all sat there, stunned.

"Well, I guess I know when no one welcomes me," she huffed, standing up.

"Oh, for crying out loud, stop acting like a spoilt brat and sit your ass back down," Nate ordered her.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. Oh, boo-hoo, you got offended. Big deal, you get offended every day I see you. Now sit."

She promptly sat back down.

"What gives you the right to talk to my mom like that?" Jamie snapped at Nate.

"Seriously? Your mom's a bitch, dude," Nixon said.

"Fuck you, Nixon!"

"What are you, that asinine that you have to resort to swearing?" Nash asked him.

"Well, at least, I have balls unlike you that has to be led around by yours," he yelled.

"Yeah, sure you do," Nathan said. "No wonder you went down like a little bitch when Nash hit you."

We couldn't help but snicker.

He turned his attention to me. "What are you laughing about? Thanks to you, I got my nose broken."

"Only because you're an ass," I snapped.

That's all it took, and he lunged over the table at me only to get yanked back by Jace while the boys all stood up.
