Andrew went to his favorite bookstore, Barnes, and Noble. When he had walked in, he was greeted by the smell of new and old books. Oh, how he loved it.

His friend, Mike said hello, as per usual. He was regular around here. You wouldn't think him, a plaid wearing, eared pierced guy like him would read books. He does, anyway. His brown eyes searched the aisles, going to his favorite aisle, mystery.

He looked down at the narrow corridor, seeing a young male, female? He couldn't tell, but he had to say they were cute, for sure.

"You seem very interested in that book; I could buy it for you." They looked up from the book, looking startled. Their eyes were brown and wide, their pale skin completing the beige scarf around their neck. "Oh, there's no need," they smiled brightly, the smile was so bright it made him smile back. "I insist, let me treat you. What's your name, anyway?" "Call me Jay, yours?" He smiled, his not a perfect, but Jay thought it was stunning. "Andrew."

He reached his tanned hand out to the paler one, whispering, "now let me buy you this book, yes?" Jay giggled, a giggled that made Andrew's stomach flip. It fit them perfectly, and he loved it. "Why yes, you shall, my fair gentleman," they bowed down, their beige trench coat making it look like a dress.

Jay handed the book, which Andrew gladly excited. He handed it to Mike, who looked at Jay with a weird expression. "You two dating or somethin'," Mike questioned, handing the paid book back to Andrew. "No, we just met. I wanted to do buy them something, so I did."

Mike nodded, watching as Andrew handed Jay the book. "Will you be here tomarrow, Jay?" They smiled shyly, mumbling a quiet yes.

Andrew smiled, as they walked out the building together. They had both started walking in the same direction, making Andrew look at Jay. "You don't have a ride? I thought you would have at least have one."

Jay shook their head, smiling, " look who's talking, mister no ride." Andrew laughed at their response, shaking his head. "OK you got me. You just seem like you would have a car, so will you allow me to walk you home?"

Jay nodded, smiling. As they walked, they talked about various books, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and even Percy Jackson.

They soon arrived at a small, neat house. Andrew pouted, as it had only seemed a few minutes that they had left, when really it was half an hour ago.

"Thank you for taking me home, and the book. I hope to see you tomorrow there again," they smiled at him on their porch, hand on their handle. "And I hope we will as well. Farewell, Jay."

They waved as Jay opened the door, slipping into the small house. Andrew couldn't help but smile as be walked home.

The next arrived, as it seemed like centuries that the two had been waiting. Jay was the first one at the store, deciding to sit and wait for Andrew.

Soon, he arrived Mike greeting him as always. He looked around, catching the brown eyes of the one and only Jay.

They both smiled, as Andrew walked over. "How have you been, Jay? You look nice," Andrew questioned, as he looked him up and down not being noticed. "Isn't a bit early to flirt, and I am doing perfect today. How are you?" Andrew rolled his eyes, sitting next to them, "I'm doing better now that I'm with you."

This was their normal routine. It turned from weeks to months in what seemed to be a day.

Today was the day Andrew had the courage to ask them out. He had asked Mike for help, as he was the more social one.

He came early, earlier then normal. Before even Jay had showed, which was rare. Mike knew why though, he was nevouse, first time asking anyone out too.

It was an hour later that Jay had finally come, being surprised to see Andrew already there.

"Why are you here so early, Andrew?" "Well, I don't know, honestly," Andrew laughed nevousely, rubbing the back of his head.

"Somethings up, so spill," Jay crossed their arms. They already knew him so well, only after knowing for three months.

"Um.. well..." he couldn't finish, looking over at Mike. He just held up a thumbs up to encourage him, which helped a little.

"Will... Will you go on a date with me," he blurted out, blushing fiercely. Jay's mouth dropped open, eyes wide.

Andrew felt himself grow even more red, looking at the ground. "I thought you would never ask! Of course I would go on a date with you!"

Andrew looked Jay in the eye, grinning ear to ear. "Great, have no idea where or what time it should be. I didn't think I would get this far..."

Jay chuckled, dimples showing. "It's perfectly fine, we'll just plan it out together, shall we?"

"We shall"

They sat and talked, planning on where and when. In the end, they had said at the park, at 7.

They walked home together, as usual Andrew staying for a while. Sadly, though, he had to leave.

It was the next morning, as they had not gone to the bookstore. They were at home, looking at what to get dressed in, Andrew looking for some flowers.

He decided on amaryllis, as roses were what people normally got. He just hoped that Jay would like the flowers he got them.

The clock had hit 7, when Jay and Andrew met up. They didn't talk about what you would think they would talk about, like games or what was gaping in life. No, they had more fun talking about books and theories.

They had ten more dates after that, which consisted of, "I love you's", kisses, books and lots more.

They had already moved in with each other, as you would think they have, being together for a year now

They were near a river that overlooked the city and woods beyond that. They were on a date, obviously. They were hand in hand as they looked at the beautiful night sky together.

"Hey Jay," Andrew broke the silence, making Jay look at their lover. "What does Jay stand for?"

Jay chuckled, looking into Andrew's brown eyes. "Jay stands for Jason..."
