nina/benny
nina had decided that she would make a christmas countdown with her family. they would connect slips of paper to create a chain and then rip one off each day until christmas.
"benny!" nina scolded. "claudia is only 3! i will not let her use a stapler- i have trouble trusting you with a stapler."
her husband raised his eyebrows, "but nina! i only stapled my finger that one time."
"go get the sticky tape."
meanwhile, claudia was happily singing christmas carols in her chair. nina went over and helped her write 1-25 on each individual slip.
benny came back to the kitchen table with the tape and started connecting the links. at one point, their daughter started giggling uncontrollably. this was because benny has managed to wrap his whole hand in the tape.
by the end, though, they had a complete and festive paper chain to count down the days until christmas.
