vanessa, sebastian

"sebastian de la vega!" vanessa yelled.

he walked in, trying to look innocent, "yes mom?"

"it is the first day of summer vacation and i'm already yelling," she sighed. "seb how come isabel was baking while your father and i were at work?"

sebastian's eyes widened, "she did what?"

"her story was that you left her home while you went to go play with your friends and you just told her to stay out of trouble," vanessa explained.

"i'm sorry mom," he said.

"you're thirteen! we thought we could trust you, but you snuck out through the fire escape," she was very angry with her son. "isa is ten and i would prefer she lived until at least thirty!"

sebastian nodded. he regretted leaving her home alone while he played soccer with his friends.

"i'll go apologize to isabel and help her clean up," he told his mom.

"thank you," vanessa said, kissing his forehead. "i'm glad you learned your lesson."
