"have her home at 8:30," mr. rosario said sternly.

mrs. rosario rolled her eyes, "kevin it's 8 o'clock now."

"yeah but camila! she's too young to go to the club," kevin protested.

"she's 22!" camila fought back.

he sighed and reluctantly caved, "fine, you two can stay out until midnight."

"you have my word," benny todd them. his a protectively around his girlfriend nina.

"bye mom! bye dad!" she called out over her shoulder as they left.

they walked down the streets of washington heights, making their way to the club. the couple met up with vanessa and usnavi and danced the night away. that is, until 11:53.

"benny!" nina exclaimed, running towards him from across the dance floor.

"what?" he asked, a bit tipsy and very confused.

"we have five minutes to get home or my dad is going to kill you!"

"oh my god let's go! run!"

they must've looked like idiots, sprinting across the streets. nina was still in her heels and dress as she lead them through shortcuts to get to her apartment as fast as they could. not wanting to waste time benny and nina took the stairs.

panting, nina took out her phone to check the time- 11:59. perfect. benny knocked on the door and mr. rosario opened it.

"i see you guys actually made it back before midnight and i'm impressed," he admitted. "but i said that thinking you'd be at least a half hour late."

nina and benny shared a glance. she shook her head and put her hands up, "i'm done. goodnight!"
