Haruki walked towards the middle doors and looked up. Just like the other two, the door was large, with thick gold handles connected to two polished wooden doors. He gave it a hard push, and the doors groaned as they swung open.

Behind the door was an extravagant room. A chandelier hung from the ceiling, and the two ends of the room were covered with bookshelves filled to the brim with countless thick books. The floor was furnished with a well-designed fur carpet, and a table was placed right at the end of the room, in front of the window that overlooked a grassy plain.

Haruki was confused for a moment. This was nothing he had seen before. Still, he hesitantly took a step forward. The moment he placed a foot into the room, however, the door closed behind him and two men materialised out of nowhere in front of him. The thick white hair combed back reflected the age of the two men who sat, one behind the table and one in front of it. Haruki realised they did not seem to notice him at all, and he cautiously approached them to get a better look.

Standing right by them, who had either pretended not to notice the young boy or really did not know he was there, Haruki now had a clear view of them. The man sitting behind the table had a thick mustache, his eyes reflecting the fatigue underneath his eyebrows. The man opposite him had shorter, trimmed hair, and he held a cup of tea to his mouth.

"You know the rules. We're not supposed to get involved." The man behind the table said gravely.

His partner took a sip of the tea and placed the cup on the table, shaking his head, "We aren't, really, Heylion. Definitely not you."

Haruki remembered Heylion as  the God of the Sun who ruled over LeFolia and fought with Nyx, the Night Goddess. Was this just a coincidence?

"Of course, I'm too weak in this state to do anything, other than watch over my children. And hers. But then there's you. How could you let a young boy get dragged into our world's mess, Apollo?" The tired man had a hint of anger in his voice.

Apollo...as in the famous Greek God of Sun?

The other old man gave a small chuckle. "That's why I said, I didn't do anything. The Nayshards used a summoning crystal, and this young boy answered their call. I just let nature take its course."

Heylion sighed, seemingly too tired to even try and get angry. "It's not something just so simple, you know so too. Even if we're gods, there are things outside our control. Somethings we know, but have no influence over. What would result in the young boy from your world being sent over to mine? It might seem redundant to fret over one single person, but it's precisely because similar things happened in the past that I'm worried!"

Apollo straightened up and took another sip from the cup. "Like I said, my friend, there is nothing we can do. He might cause a tornado to rip apart the skies; he might cause the whole world to be engulfed in flames. In this time and era, when the power of the Gods are weakening, there isn't much we can do. Stop the summoning from taking place? Then what, break the laws of this world? Send the boy back, and not promise that he will return in one piece? You know the world now is different from thousands of years ago. I, too, do not have the powers I once wield. So for now, we can only believe in what the young Haruki Yamata will do, and can do. He might be another nameless warrior in the battlefield soon to come, or he might be the saviour of this world. We can only wait and see."

Heylion looked up at him and nodded. "I guess that's what we can do. But if the time comes when the repercussions hit our worlds, I hope we have the strength left to fight it. We can't let a moment of weakness cause more havoc than we already did.

Apollo gave a hearty laugh. "Glad to see you are still able to think this way. You're still young at heart, optimistic like a kid!"

Heylion glared at him with a small smile. "Of course, this aged body is nothing but a shell at the moment after all."
